20 Game Mark Bucks Player Grades?

Negatives-

Ersan D-- Probably the biggest disappointment on the team. Although he is stepping it up as of late, has not at all lived up to the big contract expectations.

Positives

Sanders B+ After a horrible Summer League I did not see this kind of performance coming. You could make a great case he is the MVP of this team so far. Far and away the most prolific shot blocker in the NBA. Leading the team in rebounds averaging 23.7 min/.

Everyone else has performed pretty close to what my expectations were (D+ to C+)- Ellis has been a little less efficient then my low expectations were, but played harder on the defensive end then I anticipated. Moute has only played in 30% of their games, but has looked great =Incomplete. The rest all pretty much in-range of where I thought they would be.

Grades are based on my expectations of them.

Jennings - C- - I thought he would take the next step. He is still extremely inefficient and his play making hasn't taken a step up either.

Monta - D - I didn't think he could be worse offensively then we saw last season. He is.

Ersan - D+ - He's stepped it up lately which raised this from the F he deserved early in the season.

Sanders - A - You really can't argue with what he's done. No one expected this.

Luc - A - He's been very good his short time back

Udrih - B - He was hot trash last season most of the time. He's been solid so far this season with very limited pube games.

Dunleavy - C - We haven't seen much of Godleavy this season.

Harris - C- - Honestly, he hasn't looked that impressive in the minutes he's gotten. I expected more.

Udoh - B - He's been solid.

Henson - C(N/A) - He's looked a lot better offensively then I thought, his defense which i thought would be his strength has been pretty bad.

Lamb - C- - I expected him to come in and be able to play minutes, he's not ready for big minutes yet.

Dalembert - D+ - I didn't expect much so this one isn't based off of my expectation much but more the fact that he's been bad.

Gooden - N/A - He still sucks and Skiles knows it.

Daniels - B+ - Solid defender but he needs to know when not to shoot.

Pryzbilla - N/A - He's fat and old.

You guys are letting Ersan's absolutely putrid start cloud your opinion on his season as a whole.

First 7 games:
23.9 mpg
.335 TS%
75 ORTG
104 DRTG

Last 12 games:
22.9 MPG
.540 TS%
118 ORTG
105 DRTG

One thing that has to keep getting better is his rebounding.

So we're just supposed to forget the start? Overall he's shooting a putrid 46% TS% and not rebounding well. He deserves the grade he got for what the expectations/contract were.

For the record I'd give him a grade of C or something. But if he's been an above average player for the majority of the season, I'd hate to see the grades you guys would give if he was terrible all year.

If ersan is worthy of a C grade so far then Jennings is worthy of a high B based on his great games.

youd have a point if we knew we were gonna resign jennings in the offseason for what we signed ersan

Has Jennings played well enough to make our team comfortable resigning him?

If we don't want to, the sooner we trade him the better. Hammonds indicated that he thought Jennings would be here a long time, but who knows how much he knows about how long he would be around even.

Ersan's poor start shows the perils of doling out long term deals for a franchise like us. And if we are really about to be sold, the new owner would presumably like optimum flexibility.

Certainly not at 10+ million.

We'd be over paying him on his current play. He's so inconsistent. I have no trust in him.

Yes harris gets an F you tell me 1 thing this guy does well at an NBA level because I don't know what it is? He seems like a waste of space when hes out there.
I expect nothing from the guy and 9 times out of 10 thats what we get from him. He has no go to move. He doesn't shoot great he doesn't drive great he doesn't rebound great he doesn't do anything but sit around corners eating up space.

If your going to hate Ellis based on stats then it is just as just as fair to condemn Ersan in the same way- First of all he is being paid starter money and sitting on the bench- probably a worse on ball defender by position then Ellis. His FG % in is just .401 and 3 pt is .279 and FT at 68% with 5.5 RPG and only 8.8 PPG he has become a complete early bust- if you want to attack Ellis it is fair to go on player's you may like = he has sucked!

For the record " I'd give him a grade of C or something. Drug Bust you said" is that really fair? I think what this board needs is more fair objectivty - I admit I was wrong on Ellis and Sanders. We have to go with the stats not with our own agendas-- maybe the Bucks too?
