That is why I keep harping on the lame duck status of Hammond. As the one article said, there is no tomorrow thinking going on. Either fire Hammond or give him an extension. What is the next few months going to prove anyway. If Kohl likes what the team is becoming, sign him up. If he's skeptical, just fire him. But the in-limbo **** is just a determent to everybody.

If Ellis plays like he is right now all year, I don't think we'll re-sign him. Jennings I think they will unless some team signs him to a crazy offer.

Having Ellis opt in would be one of the more depressing Bucks happenings in a while.

If I'm Hammond right now and I know I have one foot out the door, I **** the franchise and sell Kohl on a massive Monta extension and would have locked up Jennings with $10-11 mil per year before the season. Shuts this franchise down with killer contracts to chucker guards who won't improve or change their games.

Maybe I'm vengeful person...
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

I don't think the Bucks have any intention of re-signing Ellis. His salary works short-term with a team sale, etc. Same reason Jennings didn't get a big deal.. both will be decisions for the new owner.

Disagree. Bucks can trade him as an expiring contract.

The problem now facing the Bucks is that Ellis is so bad any team that would trade for him might be afraid he wouldn't opt out, this makes it difficult for the Bucks as well. The most interesting part of this is that it actually might work in favor of Milwaukee that Ellis hates it here, he is so bad he still might opt out to leave and take less. I still think there is a better than 50% chance Kohl sells, so they will want to be operating very lean.

interesting blurb I just read.....from hoopsrumors.

We heard yesterday that the Bucks have told Brandon Jennings they'll match any offer he'll get in restricted free agency. That makes Monta Ellis the more likely to be traded among the team's pair of backcourt aces, but Kyler hears that there are teams with interest in both. If Milwaukee elects to hang on to Jennings and Ellis, it isn't worried about losing either in free agency.

We were able to treat Earl Boykins like crap so that he opted out of the $3mm he was owed. Earl never made that money up.

With Monta at $11 million for next year and Woelfel publicly cheering his FG% sinking, I don't see him opting out.

I almost think you need to trade Jennings for a guy that compliments Monta in order to get Monta's trade value up and either deal him or get him to opt out.

I actually think the worse Monta plays the bigger chance he will opt out. Remember, he was "lighting" it up in Golden State and his play has gotten progressively worse here. I could see his advisors telling him that he has to GTFO here ASAP and putting all the blame on the team and our situation as to why he's playing like ****.

Still an asset.

I just don't see the Bucks trading him if they are in the Playoffs and doubt he'll walk away from the cash.

Ellis opting in would be the worst situation for both parties so I'm not worried about that at all. He's going to want to cash in once more this offseason, I don't think he'll risk another season like this one in Milwaukee because that will just lower his price. If this past offseason proved anything it's that there are teams dumb enough to give a guy like Ellis a contract he'll want. I just hope it's not us.

Yeah. Absolutely ridiculous. I think Jennings would be fantastic in a lineup that looked like this:

Jennings/Ray Allen/Rudy Gay/Mbah a Moute/Sanders or something similar with a shooting guard that can shoot and a creator at small forward.

Its amazing to me that we don't have a single player with a semblance of a post game and our only jump shooter is Mike Dunleavy. And the Bucks are an NBA team.

John Henson & Tobias Harris both have moves in the post.
