Out of those guys I think I'd be happiest w/ Brian Shaw or Sampson, mostly because they haven't had a chance and seem like guys who are ready to move up the ladder. I wouldn't mind either Van Gundy or McMillan but do not want Frank, Saunders or Byron Scott. What about Mark Malone? I keep hearing his name mentioned w/ different jobs.

I've heard Mike Malone as a "hot assistant" in years past, but I don't know much about him. I guess I'd rather take a flyer on him than a retread.

With Sampson, you might get a bigger push to re-sign Jennings... Didn't Sampson work more with Jennings his first year?

Maybe not, but I'd much rather they didn't re-up Jennnings after this season.
