Idk why oden would sign here just to sit on the bench. If/when he comes back I'm sure it will be with a team where he has a chance to contribute or maye earn a starting role. I heard Miami was interested.

Dwyane Wade is still a super star. Man he looks good out there.

Batum is so long. Causing so many problems for Miami.

Miami on pace for only 55 wins. You'd really think they'd be better than that.

Miami are just lucky the rest of the east sucks. They can plot along until the playoffs and then step up then.

They have looked like they are coasting this season and think they can turn it on in the playoffs. Maybe they can with the East the way it is

I'd love it if we could get him.

Doubt Daly or Beno / Udoh / 1st gets it done.
No idea why they would want Monta.
Its possible that they would be interested in Luc so maybe Luc / Udoh / 1st does it but I don't know that we do that.
Ersan fits their offensive scheme, but I think they like Aldridge at PF long term.

Yup. Roseless Bulls means they are winning the East no matter what happens, they're coasting it.

Our players miss three weeks for stitches and dehydration. Just imagine what our doctors would do to Oden's knees.

Przy is our 15th player, does it matter if our 15th player is better than him if/when healthy? Przy will not be a Buck next year, he was brought in for reasons that were more than on-court performance.

Not having a go at you, because its not your fault, but do we really have to pay someone a large sum of money to be on a basketball team because they're needed for things not related to playing basketball? It blows my mind... We and a lot of NBA teams aren't really good enough to be doing that.

As stated in the above wiretap - Grizzlies ask for Kevin Love - That's a lot of Gay

Beat me to it on Love for Gay. Unreal proposal from Memphis. They do realize that Gay's contract makes him a minus asset to any roster yet they ask for the best player on the Wolves.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

Hollins/Hollinger not off to a great start.

More Lionel: "There's a lot to be said about stats but there's a lot to be said about heart, toughness, courage and bravery."

Lionel on analytics: "I'm trying to still figure out when the Oakland Athletics have won a world championship."

Not that he should particularly be listening to Hollinger:

PER rewards inefficient shooting. To quote Dave Berri, the author of The Wages of Wins:

"Hollinger argues that each two point field goal made is worth about 1.65 points. A three point field goal made is worth 2.65 points. A missed field goal, though, costs a team 0.72 points. Given these values, with a bit of math we can show that a player will break even on his two point field goal attempts if he hits on 30.4% of these shots. On three pointers the break-even point is 21.4%. If a player exceeds these thresholds, and virtually every NBA player does so with respect to two-point shots, the more he shoots the higher his value in PERs. So a player can be an inefficient scorer and simply inflate his value by taking a large number of shots.
