Dropped to Denver tonight. Things are not going well in Laker land.

Can they hold out until Jan. 15 so that we can trade Ersan to them or will they trade Gasol sooner?

Great to see them drop to 15-18 on the year. Looked like Nash would turn them, but they are still having some issues against better teams.

The best part would be if Dwight decided to bolt for Atlanta this summer and left them with nothing.

I'm hoping for Dallas. Dwight knows Cuban will do everything in his will to appease him and Dirk. I just hope Dwight isn't too proud after what he did to Orlando to ditch LA.

I see you are over on the Lakers board trying to close the deal. Interesting how they all say Gasol sucks but then aren't thrilled about any of the deals for him.

I was just seeing if they had anything on Ersan over there. Pretty much said he's been solid lately but that first month was an abomination to the game of basketball.

 at the thread title. Love it.

And I love how things aren't working out in Laker land.

I disagree. It shows a lack of class and maturity which is unfortunately the norm for some on this board.

You know what's kind of crazy? You could build a team around Nash, Howard, and a bunch of good role players like the Bucks have, or you could build a team around Bryant, Gasol, and a bunch of good role players - and either team would clearly be better than the Lakers are now.

What I'm enjoying is how this has the potential to be worse than the 2004 Lakers when they signed Payton and Karl Malone, trying to form a vets superteam.

Their team to date reminds me of those 1996 Rockets that had Hakeem, Barkley, Pippen and I think Clyde. Guys were just too old at that point to figure out how to make it work.

I was just comparing them to that team with my buddy at work. That was '99 though, I believe. Pippen was with the Bulls in '96-98 of course.

ETA: And that Rockets team was pretty good in 1999, though not as good as they should have been based on their talent.

I'm guessing the Lakers look like world beaters next Tuesday.

They need to trade Howard, not Gasol.

I feel bad for Nash. If the Bucks are going to trade for a veteran on his last legs in the hopes of securing a meaningless 8th seed in the playoffs I'd rather trade for Nash than Gasol. At least he'd be a lot of fun to watch for one season.

I don't feel bad for Nash. He's the one that went ring chasing. He's got to take responsibility.

Here's a denial of an incident between Kobe & Dwight.

Denial is admission it happened in my opinion.

Dwight didn't want to go to LAL in the first place and his head was not in the right place before he even got there. Couple that with his body being a shell of his former self. Couple that with trying to get along with Kobe when we know how mentally weak Dwight is.

This is going to get fun.

Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reports sources indicate that Dwight Howard had to be restrained from going after Kobe Bryant following a loss by the Los Angeles Lakers to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Bryant reportedly agreed with criticisms of Howard from Shaquille O'Neal that he is soft.

Sources tell RealGM that the incident categorically did not happen.

Sources also tell ESPN's Ramona Shelburne that there was no such incident.

Nash may have gone ring chasing but he put in his time and then some on bad Phoenix teams. I think he earned the right to try and get a title with his career nearing an end. He's one of my Top 2-3 favorite players in the league. I love watching him play; just wish he was playing for someone other than the Lakers.

EXCLUSIVE: “Trade for Pau Gasol” – A Video Made by The Lakers

Ballerball found the exclusive video that the Los Angeles Lakers are passing around to other teams around the league to try and find someone to trade for Pau Gasol.

With the help of Sarah Mclachlan – they went with the sympathy route.

Scott Machado, Donald Sloan... These guys may not be moving any needles at this point, but I'd take them 8 days out of 7 over Przy.
