well, for one thing they wont be running one of the least efficient half court offenses in the nba.

HAHAHA that's an insane comment. Jennings and Ellis are suddently going to develop into efficient, productive players now that Skiles is gone? GET. REAL.

Skiles was far from the #1, #2 or #3 problem with this team, folks. Celebrate him being gone all you want...but the bigger issues remain.

The questions to be asked are:

1) John Hammond--are you here for the long haul?
2) What is the vision of this team? Playoffs this year?
3) What does the team plan to do about Monta Ellis and his contract status?
4) It was known at the end of last season that Skiles wanted out? Why now? What triggered the timing here?

#4- what triggered the timing was that Skiles told Aldridge that he didn't want to be in Milwaukee. Do you think any of this happens without Aldridge's column on NBA.com yesterday morning?

Skiles knew that he couldn't air out the dirty laundry and expect to stay in Milwaukee, and apparently he was fine with the consequences of his actions. Seems to me that this was his way to get out of this mess. I don't blame him one bit.

Thank god we'lll finally be able to unleash Hammond's full potential free of Skiles' constant undermining.

Same place Skiles had him playing to start the season. Only reason Ersan went to the bench was because he didn't play well as a starter. And, as long as J and E are together in the starting backcourt, you might soon see the same regression in Ersan's game.

When Ersan was part of the 2nd unit he saw the ball more often.

Ersan doesn't seem mentally tough, so the coaching change may be good for him. I don't think Skiles was a good fit with him, vice versa. Curious to see Ersan log big minutes consistently and see if he relaxes a bit.

Agreed. Ilyasova's a bit of a delicate flower. I'm guessing he's not bummed to see Skiles gone.

I honestly wonder if Skiles has some mental "disorder" or something of the sort. I mean, he always has seemed troubled and seems to have done a pretty good job on covering up whatever....or not, I guess. I suppose his social interactions have been a clear issue to many

He has such a bizarre aura to him...maybe that's what keeps the ladies comin' around

The long awaited day that patient Ilyasova fantasy owners have been waiting for. Like others have said, he struggled in the starting lineup in the beginning of the season but I don't think Ersan ever had that sense of comfort playing under Skiles. He is a bit mentally weak so hopefully he can play ball without second guessing himself and just play with the natural hustle he had last year. Skiles just puzzled me with his rotations.

I'm a Raptors fan but was the general consensus here that Skiles had to go? Not saying he's the root of all problems because he's not but there obviously had to be a change in Milwaukee. Next order of business for you guys, find potential suitors for Ellis because that backcourt just isn't working as well.

I don't know about the consensus but Skiles never wanted to be here this season. That he wasn't fired the second he cleaned out his office after last season speaks to Kohl's dysfunctional nature as this team's owner.

I don't really get what the excitement is about. It meaning that the great Air Magic Harris plays more is wishful thinking.

I know some hate Skiles rotations, but what do you expect with this roster. Hammond's idea is to get whatever he can and let the coach figure it out. Of course it's a mess.

This team needs major personnel changes and doesn't want to do it.

Bout time. And in typical Bucks fashion, a half season too late.

Assuming tanking is off limits, now we can hopefully roll with a consistent 9 man rotation where the starters log 30 plus minutes per night (besides Sander's inevitable foul trouble).

Jennings/Udrih
Monta/Udrih
Moute/Dunleavy
Ersan/Henson
Sanders/Udoh

Interesting quote from Hammond which strongly suggests Skiles had either lost the locker room or was about to soon:

"We can start talking in clichés if we want and say the team is not hearing the voice or the message isn't getting across," Hammond said. "We can surmise things like that."

Good insight---gms value investing often means no growth investing. Two different and not compatible strategies, unless in very talented hands.
