Millsap has been discussed the last couple days here.

Milsap is a great answer to balancing out this team. Unlike Ersan, with Millsap you know what you're going to get each game.

I doubt Monta is being packaged. The owner wants to win now and replacing Monta for Burks makes no sense if we're trying to get to 3rd/4th/5th seed. I hope it would be Ersan and Udoh.

If we were to get Millsap I think we would have an outstanding second half to this season.

unless we get hayward back in a trade involving ersan/millsap then i think its pretty bad. acquiring a half season of millsap for ersan just isnt very good considering ersans pretty decent contract.

Nebula1 wrote:Ilyasova/Udoh/Lamb for Millsap/Burks works in the checker, but may not be enough for Utah. Bucks could add a second round pick and maybe make it close. This would be assuming Utah really doesn't want to re-sign Millsap and see Ersan as a value contract.

Opens time for Henson and gets a future 2 guard since the Bucks will be too far out in the draft. Utah keeps frontcourt depth without having to re-sign Millsap or threaten Favors/Kanter.

Jennings/Udrih
Ellis/Burks
Moute/Dunleavy/Harris
Millsap/Henson
Sanders/Dalembert

DNP - Gooden, Daniels, Przybilla

I would pull that deal. Jazz may want out 1st rounder next year well. I'd be fine with that if it means keeping Tobias.

According to the article, the team trading for Millsap would offer him an extension right away.

I imagine it would be an agreement prior to the trade, sort of like the James Harden deal.

Dude, I'm sorry to say--Burks is not the second coming of Christ. He actually kind of sucks. So does afflalo.
The Bulls are the absolute worst.

The fairest deal with Utah would be Milsap, Burks, and Bell's expiring contract for Ellis, Udoh, and Lamb. I honestly don't know who says yes to that trade. Wed have to be sold on Burks being better than Lamb.

Burks>Lamb I'm sold and even if Lamb is better is he going to be more than an 8-12 rotation guy anyway? It would be a shot worth taking but again the Bucks don't make that move if they're interested in a playoff push imo as Burks isn't going to be better than Ellis.

What are we paying Milsap then next season. And who fits with:

Ersan at $8mm

Larry at new extension of $8-10mm

Milsap at ?

Henson at?

I'm ok with getting Milsap. People just need to be prepared to pay him.

I don't see the point of paying him if you're keeping Ersan.

Ersan maybe goes in another trade. Otherwise I look at the deal as Burks for Udoh and Lamb.

If the Bucks can pull off the Ellis Udoh for Millsap Burks trade, I don't think they need to deal Ersan right away. I would just wait out Millsap and Ersan and figure out who to take for the next few years at a later date. Honestly, just give Millsap all of Udoh Fat Sam's minutes most of Henson's until the deadline.

You use Ersan or Millsap to get the SG the Bucks desperately need or just sign Redick in the offseason.

Millsap can still be rerouted at the deadline as long as he is traded by himself right?

There was some discussion on BH about that and some info from 82games showed he did ok offensively, but not so much at the other end.

Seems like driving from New York to LA via Miami if you know what I mean.

I agree that 1) Ersan would need to be part of this trade (or possibly a separate trade) and 2) What Millsap gets paid would have to fit in long term cap solution with eventually resigning free agents (Larry Sanders, etc). Although I imagine his next contract will be similar's to Ersan's.

To be honest I would really like to keep Ersan and have him performing at a high, consistent level. He's a stretch 4 that provides spacing for our guards which works to the team's advantage. He just isn't performing well. I wish he was producing similar to Ryan Anderson (who signed a similar contract to Ersan's this summer).

He would make us more consistent I imagine but still mediocre. Still need that shooting guard if we want to go anywhere with this poorman pistons team.

If we swapped Ellis for Millsap (not saying Utah would do it) and went Jennings/Dunleavy/Moute/Millsap/Sanders I think that is a homecourt team. Getting a PF isn't ideal but it's more important we get the best player.

I wonder if Orlando may have any interest in Ellis. I'd rather have Redick at this point than Millsap.
