If he was Blake Griffin and we had Chris Paul maybe it would work. Post bigs just don't work in the modern NBA with lane clogging teammates.

And the point is you don't have him 20 feet out. He's your main option on offense, his post play in the best offensive option this team would have. He would be the only guy on our team who could consistently create his own offense. You act like Larry's man will be in the paint entire time and if the double came that Gasol wouldn't be able to pass the ball. Set Larry up on one side and Gasol on the other, let Gasol work and he is a very capable player to make a two foot hook shot before the second guy comes or passing off. He's not a turnover machine who unconscionably shoots long twos because he's an idiot like you make him out to be.

I'm more with Baddy on this one. The offense is 27th in the NBA right now. Do we really think its going to get worse with Gasol? How often does Larry get the ball on offense aside from offensive rebounds and at the 3 pt line at the top of the key? He's hardly involved in the Bucks offense at all at this point, whether Ersan is on the floor or not.

The Bucks are finally in position to get a legit potential top 25 player for what amounts to spare parts. How often does that chance come along for Milwaukee?

I think if everything works out for him and the stars align Ersan is that. Gasol gives you a better shot in the playoffs the next two years and when he's gone you roll Henson as your starter. You aren't giving up any good piece for winning now or a future piece and you clear a little cap in the future. I'd do the deal 10/10 times right now and unless Ersan looks like a 15/10 every night guy until the deadline, I do it then as well.

Ersan has way more of a chance of being a 15/10 player at this point than Pau Gasol.

He averaged 17-10-4 just last season splitting post time with Bynum. Now he is being used like he's a spot up shooter.

It is not like he's years removed from being a very effective big man, and the change in his role has quite obviously made a dramatic difference in his play.

Not to mention Marc Gasol.

who was a fat throwaway 2nd round pick stashed over in Europe at the time

LOL.

Marc was one of the best players in Europe, and he was only 23. He won the MVP of the Spanish League during the the season in which he was traded.

I think he has a pretty good shot, it would be nice to see the Bucks have someone representing the team during All-Star weekend.

Whats the offense ranked in 8 games under Boylan? I'm looking at this like two separate seasons. With Skiles. After Skiles. There was no effing way a starting lineup of Jennings, Ellis, Daniels, Mbah a Moute, and Sanders would excel offensively. Just no way. Not to mention 12-man rotations forcing inconsistent play. And, for the record, a definitive NO to Pau Gasol. Yuck.

Aside from the rotations in the Detroit game which were baffling and inexplicable, I like what Boylan has done so far, which is pretty much be Skiles without all the BS, and a little attention paid to the offensive end of the floor.

I really don't agree. NBA coaches are pretty stupid. Look at the idiot in LA or the horrific job Avery Johnson was doing with Brooklyn.

I don't know, have to assume Davis+Drummond are locks, and then probably Sullinger and maybe Zeller ahead of him since Zeller has been starting.

He put up 17-10-4 last year with no Odom while playing next to Bynum.

Al Jefferson got 19-10-2 last season, so statistically that's an accurate comp. He did say next to a "clogging C"(Bynum). We don't have a paint clogging C and overplaying Dalembert is bad.

I'd rather have the younger player that just needs burn but doesn't require being the man on the team to step up his play. I also wouldn't want to potentially revitalize the LA by giving them Ersan. They reportedly don't want a long term deal, anyway. So would they take him with that in consideration?

Sanders is a clogging C. He might not be down there, but his man certainly is. When he catches at 20 feet they give him a 15 foot cushion. "Please shoot it, Larry." Did you see him size up that 3 last night? Ridiculous.

The difference in passing ability makes the comparison very suspect. Pau was also much more efficient as a scorer with a TS% of .547 compared to the poor TS% of .524 Jefferson had. That is a huge difference for a primary scoring option. Pau is also the better defender.

And he uses lineups that actually makes sense. That is one of the biggest ways a coach can influence a team, and Skiles was an embarrassment this season with his lineups.

Can you tell me where we are for SOS among Eastern teams? Reason I ask is that I saw a chart from a few weeks ago and 15 of the top 20 were from the West for obvious reasons.

Man I was psyched to see Sanders looking for his offense again. Not that I want him pulling that 3, but I love seeing him attack. Skiles had beaten that out of him.
