lol at those guys being in their prime when jordan was. most of them were washed up or 2-3 years in. why not list larry bird too while youre at it.

Detroit: Thomas was a 16/9 player. Dumars was better with 20/5 and had Rodman playing elite D and pulling down 12 boards a night.
LA: Johnson was playing the best ball of his life, 19/12/7.
NY: Ewing was 24/11/3, nbd.
Portland: Drexler was 29 and averaging 25/7/7.
Phoenix: Barkley was only the **** MVP.
Orlando: Hardaway had a historic season for a PG, Shaq was a 27/11/2 force
Seattle: Payton and Kemp were both under 27
Indiana: Miller had the 2nd best WS/48 of his career on a team with insane depth
Utah: Malone was MVP, stockton was 12/9 on a .630 TS%

aww **** I'm being trolled.

MJ always for me, but if you aren't riding Lebron's jock right now you just aren't paying attention.

ESPN has gone off the deep end. Save for a very small handful of decent people, it's trash. SVP and Russillo, Law, Ford late in the draft...legitimately struggling to come up with anyone else worth a ****. Shefter and Mort come up with their share of scoops, but it's nothing anybody else doesn't get.

 isn't he like 50 now? Terrible thread.

Seriously though, Jordan would have obliterated the league as it is today. Not because he was such a great player (which he was obviously) but because psychologically he would just crush the current crop of ring chasing bandwagoning losers that fill NBA teams (including our own).

It's the reason Kobe's still playing as well as he does (please don't turn this into a 'the Lakers suck because of Kobe' thing) imo, he just has a different mentality to the prima donnas in the league today. LeBron is mentally stronger than a Dwight or a Melo or a Deron Williams or whatever, but Jordan is head and shoulders above everybody in that department. Mix that with his on-court ability and he'd put up whatever he wanted.

Jordan played in the most talented and competitive era in the history of the league...and dominated. Today's NBA has been diluted with expansion while the rules have changed to facilitate offensive efficiency. Jordan by a mile.

Jordan played with 25-27 teams with far less international players. Is there an actual argument for the league being stronger then?

Jordan easily.

Lebron may have better stats, but Jordan was just such a smart player and so focused and determined.

Jordan is a more talented player. A far better shooter and ball handler for example. I think that Lebron uses his size advantage as his biggest weapon. And quite frankly I really wish that the league would call more offensive fouls when the offensive player creates such hard contact. If they did, he'd get quite a few calls per game.

I think a better question is who is better Kobe or Lebron or even better how about the best player in the league Kevin Durant. I take Durant over Lebron every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Kobe hasn't been better than Lebron for about 8 years, what's Durant's argument?

Nope. Talent vs physical prowess.

I'll take Durant over him easily.

Taking any current player over Lebron is completely insane IMO. Like not a discussion just toss your ass in a padded cell kind of insane, but that could just be me.

The international players of Jordan's era were no match for the NBA players of his day. See Dream Team results. Manu Ginobili would never beat out Clyde Drexler for an allstar birth.

Any assertion that Durant doesn't owe a hell of lot to having the length of a C is absurd. Same for arguing that he's more talented than one of the best all round players ever. You be hating.

I'd take Ricky Pierce over Manu Ginobili.
