Predict what the Bucks ACTUALLY do at the trade deadline

Postby paulpressey25 on Sun Feb 17, 2013 5:55 pm

In this thread, take your best stab for board bragging rights at what trade(s) you think the team actually DOES MAKE this week.

Do not put in this thread what you want them to do but a trade you think we might actually make by Thursday afternoon at 2pm CST. And your answer may be "no trades at all"

You are allowed to change your prediction during the week but must note it in the subsequent post. So no "multiple predictions" unless you revoke your prior one.
When Krause said he didn’t feel that the season could be called a good one since we fell short of the playoffs, Paschke rightly reminded him that there are 14 upstanding teams that didn’t make the playoffs. Made me proud that we could be among them.

I'll start it out. I'll say we only make one trade and it will be a meaningless one that will look like activity but won't have much impact.

Beno ($7.3mm expiring) plus Dalembert ($6.8mm expiring) plus Pryz ($850k) to Atlanta for ZaZa ($5.2mm expiring) and Devin Harris ($8.5mm expiring) and Morrow ($4mm expiring)

The move has no effect on our long-term payroll nor the Hawks. We get an extra shooter in Morrow and Bird rights to a local guy in Devin as insurance if both Monta and Brandon bolt this summer.

Brandon/Ersan/2nd to Atlanta for Smith/Morrow

Dalembert to Charlotte for Ben Gordon/2nd

I predict we either make a trade tomorrow or thursday.

I think we will end up trading the one of the swag twins in a bad deal and then also make one smaller move like trading Dally or Udoh.

i don't think we make a significant move despite all of the assets that we have.

Orlando/MKE trade with Jennings and Reddick as the main components.

Udoh and Harkless also switch places to match salaries.

We also trade some trash just to spice things up, sending out Gooden for Harrington, because the Senator was impressed at how Harrington dominated Bogut, and to address the lack of shooters on the team.

Finally, the 2014 first round pick Orlando received from Denver (lower of Denver's or the Knicks 2014 pick) will also come back to the Bucks to make up for the loss of youth.

Orlando out:
2014 Denver pick
Reddick
Harkless
Harrington

Milwaukee out:
Jennings
Udoh
Gooden

Edit: Harkless and Tobias will compete for the MSA (Most Splintered Ass) Award, with Tobias barely winning in the end.
this town needs an enema.

That trade would be **** awesome for us.

Small trade, Udoh or Dalembert on the move. Nothing else.

I think we will make a trade for an impact player, possibly Josh Smith and/or Danny Grainger. He will be a well known player, not a star, scrub or up and comer.

What I hope NOT to see is trading for any scrub on the Orlando Magic....so anyone on thier roster in general.
Jennings said scoring is easy... I've been a pass first pg since high school. Jennings > idiot

I don't see Kohl sitting on his hands this deadline, you can tell we're trying to make a splash. Been in a pretty good amount of larger trade rumors considering the deadline is still a few days away.

During the 1997 NBA Playoffs, Jordan walked into Washington’s locker room with a lit cigar and asked Wizards players, ‘Who’s going to check me tonight?”
