I bet Bucks trade our 1st, Sanders, Henson and Harris for someone like Al Jefferson or Josh Smith. Oh, and something equally as stupid like Ersan for Ariza.

As I've been saying for a while, I'd bet on something little, but won't rule out something big (particularly given the developments of the last two weeks or so). Too early to do the latter.

Do you care if we have a thread just for your hearings?

No chance in hell I'd include Henson in a Josh Smith deal.

Yeah, I don't really want that.

N8Frog can have all the skepticism he wants--I certainly don't hear anything close to everything and have never pretended to. I like giving my personal opinion as much as anything. But I have passed along quite a bit of info previously and I often caveat with my own opinion. Not going to scorecard what I've passed along previously.

I love you man :D

I just don't get it. You talk about how we need to improve our D. You bring in Smith to do that but then you bring back two of the biggest liabilities on the defensive end, which put more pressure on Smith and Larry? It isn't like bringing in Smith sets up those guys to succeed on offense either, all of those guys live, and usually die, by their jumpshot. You still have the same problem as well of having nobody that can get the ball into their teammates hands too. Our offense doesn't improve at all. Much like when we brought in Monta, sure Smith would give us a few more wins, he can break out any given game. He also shoots you out of just as many games, like Brandon and Monta do. I seriously don't get how you think a team can succeed with 3 idiots like that as your best three guys.

Are you like God's gift to basketball or something? Are you a GM in disguise?

You seem to call everyone an idiot, so who to you is not an idiot that you want to build this team around?

Do not say any of the rookies we could get next 2-3 years, because for all we know, they can be even more cancerous then Dwight was to Orlando.

One guy I would love for us to get is an idiot, DeMarcus Cousins. There aren't a lot of guys who are idiots in the league. When you do not use your skill set to the best of your ability, or even most of the time, I would classify you as an idiot. Josh Smith and Monta fall into that category. Brandon is an idiot because he's a pouty little brat, to a much smaller extent like Cousins. He tries and does use his strengths, but he isn't very good. I'm certainly not the only one who classifies these guys as idiots, and it surely isn't just Bucks fans that do it either.

Woj:

Three teams that league GM's on phones believe will make significant moves before trade deadline: Atlanta, Milwaukee and Phoenix.

I think that team nosedives in the standings eagle13. Stealth tank.
Any GM that takes Andrew Wiggins #1 overall has got to be out of his damn mind.

we add useful young dudley & a likely late lottery 1st
we dump ellis & sam
we swap BJ for teague
we improve backup C w/ gortat > udoh

with 2 lotto picks & MLE we add a SF & SG & PG and continue stealth youth movement

MIL – BJ MDJ – ATL – Teague Korver

MIL - Ellis Sam – PHX – Dudley Brown Johnson 1st

(ATL - Smith – PHX – gortat morris 1st)

ROSTER

Ersan / Henson / gooden

With the Bulls trying to trade RIP now to save money, I could see a deal like

MIL Trading Ellis, Dalembert, and Udoh Bulls trade Boozer, RIP and Jummy Butler

They shed Sam D's deal after the year to avoid the Luxury tax

Jennings
Hamilton
LUC
Boozer
Sanders

Jennings-10m, Ellis-10m, Moute-4.7m, Smith-15m, Sanders-8m = 47.7 million for our starting 5.

Lamb will be at .889 and Udoh at 4.1. Mike 4.0 Korver 3.5 Harris 2.1

If that is our core roster of 10 players, we would be around 62m, 2m over the projected cap.

Bring in two rookies, a first and a 2nd, we are then around 65m in cap given we will pick in the 18+ range.

So at 12 players we are at 5m over the cap. I wager we sign 1 guy to around 2.5m and then 2 vets at the vet minimum, I think .95 next season.

15 players would net us around 69m of cap space on a projected 60m cap, 9m over the cap is still under the hard tax, and the hard tax is the only truly strict penalty.

Not saying I want to go this route, and likely the Bucks would deal Udoh for a cheaper option, as well as not keep Korver at 3.5. Bucks could be in the 3-4m over the cap ballpark while keeping Jennings, Ellis, Moute, Smith, and Sanders locked in for 4 plus seasons.

No way is a bit over the top, he is good, but nowhere near a star, or even a borderline star. I see him as a 3 star player, worthy of being the 4th guy on a mediocre team. If they can get a guy with higher value then that currently, say JJ Redick who is deemed a 3 star himself, but offers a weakness the Bulls have, they will deal him.

Thats fine They can throw in someone else to make salaries match

Or we can just eliminate Butler from the trade period. Im fine with having Boozer and RIP the next couple years.

This is shaping up to be either the most disappointing bucks trade deadline ever when we make an absolutely terrible trade or the most disappointing deadline ever when we end up doing nothing...

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
