FWIW, Tobes mind hasn't been completely engaged. He lost his grandfather last night after he had had a stroke around a week earlier. He posted on his instagram about it (don't know if it's still there).
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.

This thread had it's time. Lets bring it up in a few years if Lasry and Edens turn into Kohl.

If Skiles got Tobes to play defense, he'd be a star.

Agree. It was a bad trade but kind of over Tobias. Actually the trade blew up so bad it seemed to lead to changes around here so maybe it was good. I think Tobias will be one of those guys that will be a good scorer but ultimately not a go to guy and a guy that if he gets paid is going to start drawing criticism for being too 1 dimensional.

Tobes was the sacrificial lamb that led to the revolt of the fan base which might have led to kohl selling.

I no longer regret this trade. Only the philosophy used to execute it.

I think we exercised the Tobes demons last night. Right now you see two teams trending in opposite directions.

I don't think anyone of sound mind would take their core over ours, and Tobias seems to be turning into just "another guy". Talented but not elite scorer who lacks a true position, and is a defensive liability.

I'll laugh when/if Orlando extends him or some team like the Knicks offers him a near max contract. I'd be hesitant to even give him a low-end 8-figure salary.

Skiles a candidate for the job down there if it opens up? We saw that coming awhile ago. I think he'll be very good down there until the players naturally zone him out once the success train stops. I hope Exum is traded there too for our Aussie friends. Reunited and it feelsss sooo good.

Yup, Tobes played very well with the Magic for about 50-60 games, and in every other game his average is beginning to decline further and further. Likely has to do with the fact teams have tape and experience to track his tendencies and defend him accordingly. Tobes seems like a 12-14ppg guy with decent efficiency as a prime player on a team that is actually worth a darn, and a 16-18ppg guy on a terrible team when he is overused.

Bad trade, but not as earth shattering as many here made it out to be.

Nice bump :) I won't forget the utter stupidity of the trade but I really haven't bothered much about Tobes since we got a pair of stud forwards and Tobes' development slowed. (At least in the ways I hoped he'd develop)

guys averaging 17/7, good efficiency, is 22, and has been bothered by some personal issues and injury issues most recently.

id be happy to offer him the max in the offseason if i was a lot of teams not named the bucks who are all stocked up at tweener forwards.

if you think his development has slowed, i think youre nuts.

How would you say his defense and play making has improved? Rapidly?

Could Ennis be the one to make up for the Tobias trade? Ennis was #18 pick, Tobias #19. And if so, will it mean the end of this thread?

That bobblehead looks like a mix of Kevin Johnson and Carlos Arroyo.

+1 for Carlos Arroyo refernce.

I still think Jabari's is the worst I've seen in a long time.

That would be great... If it was a Leroy Butler bobblehead.
