I look forward to seeing how this works. Give JJ 30+ minutes a night. If Monta is Montaing pull him early.

He should be starting with Ellis coming off the bench. He will get 30 minutes a night, Besides getting some minutes at the point I would be surprised he gets some minutes at the 3 also, especially at the end of games.

That is what I think will happen not what I want to happen.

I want to say, I absolutely love Redick as a player. If we weren't an 8th seed treadmill I would love him on our team. Problem is, we get stomped in the playoffs with him, we get stomped without him. Giving up prospects, no matter how minimal you believe they are for that type of guy is ridiculous in the position we are in.

We're marginally better, and we could be marginally worse if integrating Redick isn't seamless. I don't think it makes the Bucks much more watchable this season. There's no way they move up to a 6th or 7th seed just by moving Udrih for Redick. And it's my impression that Udrih didn't like his place on the team, so maybe it helps the team environment, but you still have unhappy guys like Ellis (and I wonder about Udoh and Moute).

If the Bucks keep playing about the same as they have the last 2 weeks, they could actually finish 9th in the east, as crazy as it might seem. Toronto's hot, maybe they pass us.

I'll say this, if somehow the Bucks finish out of the playoffs and we end up with a Stern-assisted top 3 pick (hey Stern, we need an arena deal soon), awesome, and come on back, Bucks fans.

Redick is better than Mayo.

I could care less who starts, as long as Redick is on the floor and Ellis is on the bench during the last 5 minutes of games.

If JJ doesnt play huge minutes its criminal. He is vastly better than Monta.

I'm legitimately excited to watch a good player in the back-court for the first time in years.

I would like this trade a lot more if we just sent Monta home.

I'd be shocked if Redick played more minutes than Ellis or started ahead of him. He clearly should but these are the Bucks after all.

Confused by the Ayon addition. We clearly did this deal thinking we were trading udoh and LUC to the hawks until they pulled out like a scared teenage virgin. I think Hammond really thought we were getting smith and Reddick. I think Ayon is better than Udoh TBH though. Hope he sees the floor.

Why am I such a hope whore? Stop getting me excited about the de facto breakup of the swag backcourt Drugbust, it's so much more cathartic to be in a state of blind anger and pessimism. Damn u! ;-)

Yep, it matters who is closing out games not starting them.

Jennings 35/Redick 13
Ellis 38/Redick 10

I vote
Jennings 36/Redick 12
Ellis 24/Redick 24

Ayon is decent but he is like 7th in line right now. This is the most laughably constructed team in the league.

I would love that, but it won't happen. Kohl loves Monta.

I know it won't happen, but I would start Redick both because he's better and also to guarantee Ellis doesn't opt-in next year. If Redick doesn't work out or wants too much, let him walk as well. I would still try to be reasonable with Jennings. Begin rebuilding.
