Antetokounmpo Highlights!! (Will grow to 7 feet)

Post#1 » by vegaspacker » Tue Dec 3, 2013 9:01 am

I'm here in Las Vegas, and trying to recruit some new Bucks fans. Our new interest maker needs some more face time.

I was trying to show off our new toy, but running through the threads was killing me.

Some of you guys put together some really good videos and YouTube stuff.

Could we dedicate a page for his showcase worthy plays?? The Boston game was a really nice bit, need moar!!

Giannis has grown to 6'10 1/4 already.

Not only is Antetokounmpo’s game growing, so is his body. When the Bucks drafted him in June, he was 6-9. Now, just more than five months later, he has added more than an inch to his lanky frame.

“I am now 6-10 and one quarter,” Antetokounmpo said smiling.

He then paused before adding, “I still have 3½ years to grow.”

Indeed, doctors have informed Antetokounmpo and Bucks officials that the former’s growth plate is still open. In all likelihood, he’ll become a 7-footer.

Wow. A 7-footer playing the 3 that can run, jump, and handle like he can? His unlimited potential just went up a notch.

If we can somehow build a coherent offense with a Giannis/Henson/Sanders frontcourt, we'd have a silly team. Just on length alone that trio would cause all kinds of problems.

If that trio didn't lead the league in blocks, I'd be stunned. Giannis and Sanders just seem to have a natural feel to blocking shots and Henson is starting to show he has it as well.

To give a little more complete picture, when DX did his first feature on him last February, they had him at 6-9, so this last inch and a quarter has come in the last 9 months. They reported in that feature that he'd grown 3 inches over the previous 10 months. So he's slowing down. I kind of want him to stop growing already so his nervous system can catch up. I've said it before, but it's scary to think that he's going through his awkward phase right now.

Yeah, Henson is blocking 3.2 per 36 right now, up from 1.8 last year.

thats why marcus smart makes all kind of sense. hes the type of player and leader that will make everyone around him better. a player that can direct the high emotions of the rest of our players in a positive direction. a guy that can thrive with finsihers even if hes not finishing himself. the guy least likely to allow a rebuild to last years as the team struggles to climb out of that rebuild loser mentality that is so likely an outcome on teams that commit to the tank.

this is going to sound stupid...... but in the east right now i could literally see smart leading the rest of what weve got to homecourt advatage within a year, maybe 2. i literally think hes that good of a match for what we have going on.

That doesn't sound stupid to me. In fact, it sounds reasonable. And thats why this is such an important season for the future of this franchise. We NEED to tank, and tank hard. We NEED that difference maker in the draft.

And after watching those highlights again, I just have to say, as much as we kill this front office, and rightfully so, they deserve a lot of credit for the Giannis selection. Now don't f*** up the tank.

I'd rather have a go to scorer than Smart on this team
Shoot, Move, and Communicate...

Like I said, I like Smart, but not over the top guys. What I'm saying is we can't draft for fit. And even if we were, Parker to me elevates his teammates more than Smart does. What we really need is an alpha individual scorer to add to that frontcourt. That could be argued as really any of the top guys.

Some one should just add some text at the end that says, "Merry Christmas Bitch!"
