Not sure if this has been posted before, I'm honestly not sure where I even heard this song but periodically I go through and clear out my Shazam tags and I've heard this song at least once somewhere on the radio likely either Sirius or 102.1 but yeah, really been digging this since I went back and listened to it again the other day.

On this day in 1976 the Ramones released their first studio album, forever changing the world of music. :)

I'm quite late to seeing or even knowing that Nirvana was inducted into the R'nR HOF, played Barclays Center and then did a secret show (200-350 people max) at Saint Vitus afterward with Joan Jett, J Mascis, Kim Gordon, Annie Clark (St. Vincent, actually this is her name.)., joining them for 3+ songs each, along with John* (beyond his name on the set-list, I'm not aware of who this is).

An article published Today, below:

Great to see this coverage from SXSW of the band Kayo Dot after their shows there in March. Whatever the reason for them being the "survey prize" winners. I don't know how that works. They deserve the exposure.

I saw them in Chicago on 3/21 @ Reggie's Music Joint (2100 S. State), the week following their short tour of Mexico, Texas (from the showcase), and Colorado. They're a special group. That show was amazing, even though they're missing a key member, who was a part of their last record, Hubardo (he decided to move back to the West Coast, also happened with their violinist Mia a few years ago).

http://sxsw.com/music/news/2014/survey- ... experience

photo set from their Chicago show (no video available yet, although someone shot the first band of the night's set):

It's hard to imagine going to a Nirvana show without Cobain.

Sure, but he's no longer alive and they only played those shows because they were inducted into the Hall of Fame.

It was celebratory/tributary in that regard and he himself would've approved of the people that took part in the show, as they were friends of his who created music that he felt kindred with (J. Mascis, who was once asked to join Nirvana as their drummer and Kim Gordon) or had respect for in Joan Jett. Krist, Dave and Pat (who only toured with the band for 'In Utero' but was a person that Kurt admired) doing the smaller show was just something special for all involved, I'd imagine (going to back to their roots, amongst old friends).

Bob Mould just released a new single and has a new album coming out. The single isn't on Youtube yet but he played it live at SXSW a couple months ago. Good song. It is classic Bob Mould.

Not from 204, but my most recently discovered track I can't get enough off. Really chilled out electronic track with a piano backing. And that vocal sample that comes in at the end is just amazing.

Looks like Coldplay went the EDM route with Avicii. I enjoy the song but some purists are going to be rolling over in their graves.

This isn't a new song, but i found an old mix CD i made years ago and this was on it. I haven't heard this song in ages, but man did i love it when the song first came out.

Coldplay is an enigma to me. Chris Martin is such a talented guy, but all of their music just comes off in the same way. I'm glad they went a different route for once.

The albums I like from them are Parachutes and Viva La Vida.

oh, no doubt. you couldn't even call that pop-punk. I listened to the whole thing for the first time this morning and there were only one or two songs I liked. The Torn cover, and probably the everlong and comedown covers. Closer is alright too. None have any reason to exist, though.
