New or used?

Chevy has some decently priced SUV's but they are the base models for under 20k

Probably used. Almost picked up a 2011 Explorer today with 110K miles on it for 13.

Even without the credit it will be worth it. Unfortunately given the current political climate there is a 0% chance the credit gets expanded :(

Got a new ride today. I'm very excited. I am (supposedly) the second person in Southern Wisconsin with a 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring.

I have a '17 Civic Coupe and love it. But I'm eyeballing the Type R.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'm looking for a 24k gold Dolorean but worried if it is practical as a family car.

im 6'8'' and about 4 bills right now (heaviest ive ever been). currently drive a 2002 mercury cougar LOL, no joke though. this past thursday i think i might have killed it. i dont drive it because of money, well, in as much as i dont have it. i am really cheap however and ive never had any problems with the car until recently.

finding cars i fit in is tremendously difficult. im no longer interested in driving a car so low to the ground cause im a big fatty and im developing back problems. 2 door cars have more room, probably because of the door length? i dont know. but i have a lot easier time finding 2 door cars i can fit in, but they also do a number on my back typically.

so far ive tried every new car i can imagine. but on the off chance you have an idea about a car i havent tried, please do share.

right now, i think i am settled on a vw tiguan. its not sexy, but i can get in and out of it comfortably. one car i havnet tried that i think i might be interested in is a cadillac ats or cts coupe.

I'd think power adjustable seats and telescoping steering wheels would make a huge difference. The power seats are normally far more configurable. Have you tried like a crew cab pickup? Otherwise there are still some 2door crossovers out there. For new I can only think of range rover evoques and that weird Nissan murano convertible thing. There's probably others I'm not thinking of.

they stopped making the evoque coupe, and finding used ones isnt easy. adding to what i know about land rovers, its not my first choice.

weird murano convertible thing? ill look into that. not sure about a convertible in wisconsin, but im intirgued.

edit: was looking for them again, and weird, i guess they are making em again, in convertible.

I didn't realize they discontinued the Evoque coupe. My wife thought she wanted a regular Evoque a few years ago when they were first introduced. I vetoed that idea because of reliability concerns.

Good choice. I have a 535xi and have put 150k miles on it in 3 years. No issues outside of standard maintenance.

yeah, im not sure i could justify to myself buying a 30k+ car with reliability issues. i imagine that maintenance on those isnt cheap either.

What about a 2 door Wrangler? I'm not sure why I didn't think about it right away. I have a 2016 4 door. It's definitely more unrefined than most but I like the simpleness of it. They also hold their value very well.

Nice! I have 2K on my car. I barely drive anywhere. Trading it in for an M4 or AMG C63 this summer.

I can tell you that my wife & I are very happy with our '16 Tiguan. We have had 2 issues - the tires have little tread left after 16k miles & the original battery died (replaced under warranty). Good luck.

those are issues i can deal with. i know that manufacturers put cheap tires and batteries in new cars.
