Honestly, he reminds me of Lin. I think he's a guy who can start if you have a talented squad, but is probably suited to be a really good backup.

If his shooting comes around I think his upside is Calderon.

I like Andre Miller as a comparison at least until he improves his shooting.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

Goran Dragic.....I think a lot of Nate, just does way to many things well for a rookie, once the shots drops with consistency look out.

He's a steady hand until his outside shooting improves. He takes over half his shots in the restricted area and makes 56% of them, so that's encouraging.

If his shooting takes off... we'll see. Until then, he's still great value.

I thought Kidd was bi-racial. I'm pretty sure Wolters is uni-racial.

Best case scenario would be Steve Nash for Wolters. What's funny or not funny about that?

Better defender though. Anyways, I'd take Calderon out of a 2nd every day of the week.

Calderon's a career 40% shooter from deep. Wolters is light years from that right now.

I still don't get how Wolters can shoot 80% from the FT line in college but suck at it in the Pros, unless it is simply a small sample size fluke

I've been trying to think of my own, but I want to second your Andre Miller comparison. Good call.

I'd be thrilled if he ended up having the career #s of Miller.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

3FG% for Jose Calderon as a 24 year old rookie: 16.3% (1.0 per 36)
3FG% for Nate Wolters as a 22 year old rookie: 20.0% (1.6 per 36)

Waaaaaaaay better defense than Nash but not near the creativity in traffic. Nowhere near the shot...YET. Better rebounder than most comparisons. I like the Hornacek comparison BUT he doesn't have near the shooting trajectory. Hmmmm....this is a challenging one. He's very very savvy with the ball in his hands. Great at an early stage 8' and in. BUT, to date, lacks the outside accuracy - which isn't abnormal. At this point, I'm leaning a slightly larger/better defending Rod Strickland.
