This team has really taken off after that embarrassment Iowa gave them at home. They won the non conference tournament beating a then 22 ranked LSU team and at Madison though that now doesn't seem that much of a an accomplishment. They have payed some very poor teams but still after how they started this year the way they have dominated teams is encouraging with all the freshmen that get quality minutes. I think a 10-9 mark in conference play if very doable and one in in conference tournament gives them a birth to the big dance.

There schedule has been an embarrassment. Even LSU and UW barely look like quality wins. I get the economic reasons for a buy game but they really need to fix their scheduling going forward with some 3-1 and 2-1 home game set ups to get better teams. I wouldn't be pissed if they win 21 games and still get left off the bracket. Their schedule is that bad.

Agree on the schedule. It's been pretty bad. Looking forward to conference play.

Marquette played tonight. They lost. By a lot.

Reality check? And I honestly don't see more than 1 win in the next 5 games.

Marquette played again. Lost again.

Playing through bigs that shoot 30% in conference games doesn't help.

Henry Ellenson has gone 7-29 in Big East play. We obviously aren't going to win with that happening, but he's not going to stay in this bad of a slump.

Providence is a fun team to watch. Marquette has played them for 30 minutes. Providence finally took the lead with about 10 minutes left. We'll see if Marquette can pull of the upset.

Great defense at the end, great win

Ellenson had 2 key blocks, a steal and a defended post play in the final five minutes.

Really impressive defensive effort from Ellenson tonight. He definitely tries on that end. Great win.

Providence looked really undisciplined. MU got in the double bonus super early yet they still kept committing dumb reaching fouls.

Close game right now between mu and stj. 2 points with 8 min left. Marquette can't let these home games against mediocre big east games slip away if they want to make the tourney.

Wojo basically spent that whole timeout saying they have to be smarter.

Ellenson must have 8 tos today. Need to clean it up. Tough win if they can finish it.

Every game between now and the BEast tournament just became a preseason game. No way they make the tourney with their record and RPI if they don't when the conference tourney. Feel bad for Ellenson.
