Middle of the pack (familiar territory)- '15 NBA Draft Thread
Never to early for draft talk. My board so far, knowing not a ton about the prospects, and going mostly off of scouting reports.
1) Emmanuel Mudiay, 6'5 PG SMU
Mudiay seems at this point to be the best player at our biggest need. Many have compared him to Russell Westbrook but with true point guard instincts. To me that means a top 5 player in the entire league ceiling. I'd trade Wiggins or Parker for him today. Playing for Larry Brown should do wonders for him.
2) Cliff Alexander, 6'9 PF Kansas
Super athletic four man. If he develops an outside shot he could jump to number one. Him trolling Illinois fans was amazing on signing day.
3) Kristaps Porzingis, 7'0 PF Latvia
A lot of people were bummed out when he pulled his name from this years draft. Cerebral type player according to scouting reports. Needs to bulk up.
4) Kelly Oubre, 6'7 SG/SF Arizona
Seems to be the best athletic scoring type wing in this years freshman class.
5) Karl Towns, 7'0 C Kentucky
I have him over Okafor for his all around game.
6) Jahlil Okafor 6'11 C Duke
People will call me crazy for having him this low, but he has a lot of holes in his game. Again, just from what I've read, he's a pretty pedestrian rebounder and shot blocker for someone his size. Offensively he's a load but I don't like the Al Jefferson comparisons. AJ is the definition of an empty stats player IMO.
7) Kevon Looney, 6'9 SF UCLA
I probably have him too high because of the Milwaukee connection, but he has a chance to put up good numbers at UCLA as they seem very willing to give young players opportunities.
8) Stanley Johnson, 6'7 PF/SF Arizona
People have compared him to Ron Artest without being batsh*t insane. Sign me up.
9) Mario Hezonja, 6'7 SG Croatia
Athletic 2guard with crazy passion for the game.
10) Chris Walker, 6'10 PF Florida
Didn't get a ton of opportunities at Florida this past season. He's a candidate to move very far up the board. I think he breaks out big time this year.

I watched a Highlights Emmanuel on youtube and did not see him shooting in the game. In the current NBA you need your PG has the ability to shoot 15-20 points per game. I found it amazing how he involved his teammates in the game.
The guy I liked most was the Karl Towns. His game reminded me a bit Demarcus Cousins

Myles Turner put up 14/8 with 4 blocks on 6-8 shooting (12 minutes) in an absolute barn burner against Uruguay in FIBA U-18 Americas (final score 156-58).

I was for Parker this time last year and have since switched a million times over.
For 2015 I am high on Okafor.

I think this post should have waited until Preseason to see what our team looks like, but until then I am split on making playoffs or just starting a whole young team and see what happens. I think a pg though, to go with Wolters should be a good priority.

#TeamMudiay
Mudiay, Wiggins, Giannis would be an incredible 1-3.

I think he made a mistake not coming out this year. After that hot streak he had a lot of mojo going for him. Next year he'll be a year older, and more people will realize he is a seven footer that can't rebound. Like at all. Add in the fact that next years draft is loaded with bigs and he's probably a second rounder. I think he's in the low 20's in this draft.

Why wait until preseason when I can tell you during the INTROS OF THE SCRIMMAGE!

You must not want championship basketball in Milwaukee.
