If Kinghts a 2 now, I think you still have issues ultimately sneaking minutes for the tweener guys. Middleton probably has to find minutes behind Giannis and Knight in the 3/2 area. Bayless if signed is looking at being third on the depth chart at the 2 and who knows at the 1. Mayo is probably out entirely based on last years performance. Parker/Ersan should consume all the 4's minutes, Sanders/Henson all the 5's. Leaving the rest out in the cold. There has to be a move coming zero sense in the vet money at the end of the bench.

No way Middleton, Ilyasova, Sanders, and possibly Bayless play that little. They are too good of players relative to those roles, and if Ilyasova is still on the team by the time the season starts they'll have the impetus to ramp up his trade value.

And no way Mayo or Marshall play that many minutes, unless the team is tanking.

I still think Henson is gone based on the promos and the fact his value is only going to drop with a year more of being a backup. I could see Delfino or Mayo attached to him, or unloaded for an expiring, and with a 2nd round pick as sweetener.

I see more something like this:

5 Sanders 30/Zaza 18
4 Ilyasova 28/Parker 20
pt Giannis 33/Parker 8/Delfino 7
2 Middleton 33/Bayless 15
1 Knight 32/Marshall or Wolters 16

9-10 man rotation. Maybe 10-11 if we trade Henson for a sg, who would be the alternative to Middleton starting. Then Middleton might back up both the 2-3, crowds Bayless out to spot minutes, and eats a few out of Parker's. It wouldn't be a terrible thing for chubs to have his minutes limited a little in his rookie season. Doesn't want to burn those joints out before he's accustomed to playing so many minutes and he's worked the weight off. Love played 25 minutes his rookie year, started 37 games. I don't think we should be bothered by a similar role for Parker where Ilyasova starts the first half of the season, he's traded for a mid 1st rounder when his value is back up, then Parker starts post deadline.

Any 9 man rotation where Giannis, Jabari, and Larry are each logging 30+ minutes works for me.

Warning: I am not advocating this, but wondering if it might be the plan.

Does anyone forsee a scenario where we go with 2 rotations, like a young and an "old" rotation? Or maybe more likely a core and not core rotation, or maybe developmental rotation vs just mental rotation?

Benefits get the core playing together for extended minutes early on. Showcase non core players in order to up their trade value if possible.

Developmental/Future Core Rotation:
PG - let's say Marshall for now
SG - Middleton
SF - Giannis
PF - Parker
C - Henson/Sanders

Mental Rotation:
PG - Knight
SG - Mayo
SF - Delfino
PF - Ersan
C - Sanders/ZaZa

End of the bench rotation
PG - Wolters
SG - Mayo/Delfino
SF - Inglis
PF - JOB/Ersan
C - Slav/ZaZa

No way shape or form is mayo who's making 8 mil.a year not seeing the floor.
A healthy and motivated mayo is with out question the best 2 guard on our team.If he is in shape and plays like the old mayo of 2 years ago he will b our starting 2.
Again I see knight, mayo, giannis, parker and sanders

I think Kidd will give Mayo a clean slate, I'm just not convinced things will be any different with his play. And since it would appear Hammond or Kidd wanted PG help and may View Knight as a possible 2 I think things remain very unpredictable there.

He should stick. He's quite serviceable as an end of the bench/reserve guy.

My ideal rotation/roster, rolling into next year is

PG: Marshall, Wolters (Giannis)
SG: Knight, Mayo (Middleton) (Giannis)
SF: Giannis, (Parker), Middleton, Wright, Inglis
PF: Parker, Henson, JobIII
C: Sanders, (Henson) Miroslav
Leaves us with 13 with either a trade to finish roster or pick up raw fresh youngsters.

Trade or Buy out Zaza, Delfino, Ersan and get either a SG or C or pull off a Bledsoe trade.
I would give Mayo another chance, don't like him much anymore but we can always trade or buy him out later.

Where is 8 million a year mayo in your equation, unless he is traded there is no way he sits on the bench and rots.He gets a fresh start with Kidd and will start with BK at starting point

I'd go with:

PG: Marshall (36), Wolters (8), Knight (4)
SG: Knight (30), Mayo (10), Giannas (8)
SF: Giannas (28), Middleton (20)
PF: Parker (32), Henson (10), JOB (6)
C: Sanders (36), Henson (12)

Trade Ersan and Zaza for picks or cash.

All indications have been that he's probably getting dumped.

Guys that think Giannis is going to get 36 minutes might be in a for shock.

He could hardly handle 26 minutes last year and make it through the season.

I think if we are getting 26 minutes out of Parker, that is a good start. And if we are getting 30 minutes out of Giannis this year without wearing down, that is a great start.
