Doing little in free agency is a great thing for the Bucks, and I don't see Bayless getting big minutes. It's a pretty cheap deal and is only for 2 years, so we will have a lot of free money a few years down the line. I don't really see the point of signing him other than trying to get another "veteran" guard on the roster. But it isn't a deal worth getting upset about.

I came up with a rotation pre-Bayless. And it was already tight- a few guys definitely not getting enough minutes. After the signing I can't picture how it's going to work. I think we need a trade.

This is what I had come up with:

PG- Marshall (25)- Wolters (18)- Knight (5)
SG- Knight (18)- Middleton (15)- Mayo (12) Giannis (3)
SF- Giannis (25)- Ingles (12)- Parker (5)- Middleton (6)
PF- Parker (23)- Ersan (18)- Henson (5)- Giannis (2)
C- Sanders (28)- Henson (12)- Pachulia (8)

I still don't get this signing! Appears redundant and stupid.....

Maybe the advanced stats paint a different picture but that's not true, he's an excellent defensive PG. He'll struggle against SGs though because of his T-Rex arms, but he has impressive lateral quickness.

Consistently one of the worst defenders in the league by RAPM. Mini Gooden indeed.

Why would Philly want Knight?

I don't think 6ers are hot for him but Knight is a better shooter than Wroten and Knight is also better able to defend small Gs as MCW defends the tall Gs. For Bucks the opposite is true - we need some size at SG and Wroten is 1 year younger. Not saying its likely - just a possibility. It makes sense to move Knight since we signed his poor man's clone in Bayless.

Zaza and Ersan with 26 combined minutes? Doubtful.

After trading for Capt. Jack, I can't blame him for trying to stick to players that he can say that about.'

Today in a one-on-one Paschke asked Jerryd about keeping his life together on and off the court. I don't know about him having off the court problems but it seemed suggestive of him having something noteworthy in his past. At least that's how I interpreted it.

Are there any other mini-Boozer(s) around the league? Seems as if there's at least one more.

I can't think of one off the top of my head, but there is a maxi-Boozer in Pero Antic.

Championship. Kidd's agent rewarded.

Total crap signing all around. Reeks of old Bucks but I suspect (hope?) it was a quid pro quo type thing with Kidd's agent.

I care more about him getting minutes than the money. It's stupid to light money on fire like the Bucks do every single year, but if we relegate him to just spot duty, I can live with it. The problem is, usually these guys come in with expectations to play, and the coaches have a hard time not acquiescing. The only hope is that Kidd may be a bit different and have the stones to outright not play guys who may have come here expecting to play significant minutes.

Does Kidd get a signing bonus for Bayless, or a discount from their agent?

Probably a nice reward for the agent for all of the background work he did getting Kidd out of Brooklyn and into the Milwaukee org without admitting any wrongdoing on behalf of Lasry/Edens.

I wonder how many $3 million a year 4th stringers we'd have if there wasn't a cap of 15 roster spots.

He's wasted about 3 mil in cap space future cap space every season, starting when he gave Malik Allen and Elson PO's for their second year.

Did they mention what took so long getting the contract signed? I would guess they were hoping someone would sign udoh and get a trade exemption or something.
