Celtics fans talking 3 way Rondo trades with the Bucks:

I don't like Henson as the center-piece in a Rondo trade (he's not very good despite the gaudy numbers) - Larry Sanders is the better big man on Milwaukee.

I like Larry too but taking Henson gives us more salary flexibility and he has the tools to be as good as Larry on defense, plus he has more of an offensive skill set even if it's not exactly great. Sanders could easily end up being a bad contract, I don't think we should gamble on that if we're trading away our best player. This isn't really a sexy package but I'm operating under the idea we're not going to get any blue chippers back for an expiring Rondo.

But I'd rather just go for Sanders from Milwaukee and pair him with Rondo. Something like Wallace, Young, Zeller and a decent pick for Sanders would work for me.

In the Jabari thread someone shared an NBA.com captioning error in listing him as a Celtic. Flashed immediate dread of a Rondo for Jabari trade with the former being on the block. That wouldn't happen though, right? No way. Right?

Didn't know where to put this but Henson definitely looks bigger than Larry here. Good to see he has put on a decent amount of weight this offseason

Ha, yes Celtics fans are dreaming with hopes of picking up Sanders or Hibbert for scraps.

In contrast I do wonder whether Boston is at a point where they would trade Rondo for a package based around more of a Jeff Teague level value player.

If so, perhaps (better) players like Jrue Holiday or even Michael Conley could be considered in Rondo trades. Memphis and New Orleans are win now but not quite at championship contention -- if they think swapping their younger and cheaper PG's for Rondo gets them there maybe that'd be considered.

Holiday in particular has similar injury concerns as Rondo. Could see Rajon being jacked about pairing with Anthony Davis as well to say the least too.

I wouldn't trade Conley for Rondo in a one for one.

He hasn't been right for a single game since the knee and plays a brand of basketball that goes against the direction of the league (one man dribble fest vs whipping the ball around).

Want absolutely nothing to do with Jeff Teague.

Highest profile guy to have done it by far. It has to be more likely Bledsoe does the same now.

A year ago Detroit signs Greg Monroe to the ridiculous deal he wants, good move by them by not doing so.

I actually think Monroe would be a great fit next to Sanders. He's not the missing piece that makes us contenders though, so do not want.

He's an awful fit next to Larry.

That was a great Simmons podcast. They talked a lot of smack about Brandon Jennings.

But yes, Simmons is delusional on Rondo's value.

Apparently Ben Miller is a Cavs fan.

Haven't watched the Simmons podcast, but wouldn't a S+T Bledsoe for Rondo pretty much be great for both teams?
Rondo makes 12.9 mil. I'm not a CBA wiz by any means, but couldn't you do Bledsoe on the 5 year deal starting at that salary, give him close to what he wants, and pull off that deal? I would imagine Phoenix would have a good chance to re-sign Rondo. And Bledsoe would be a nice building block for the Celtics, with four interesting athletic guard-forwards in Smart, Bledsoe, Young and Avery. Maybe too much of the same thing, if there is a criticism there.

No interest in Monroe. The salary wasted on a mediocre player could be saved up. Let Giannis and Jabari play, see if we have something good, and then use cap space to try to land an established player to join the young core when the time is right.
