What lineup do you want to see Opening Night in Charlotte?

Post#1 » by wisportsfan4 » Wed Oct 15, 2014 2:57 am

For me its:

PG- Kendall Marshall (pass-first PG, arguably best passer)
SG- Khris Middleton (best pure shooter on the team)
SF- Giannis Antetokounmpo (obvious, but which position 1/2/3?)
PF- Jabari Parker (obvious, but which position 3/4?)
C- Larry Sanders (obvious)

^^ that would be the most fun to watch IMO. Then the reserves would go:

PG- Knight
SG- Mayo
SF- Dudley
PF- Henson
C- Zaza

Which based on how they looked tonight, that isn't a bad second unit. Nate deserves some burn as well. I wish Ersan would just get traded already. :banghead:

What I want to see is Marshall, Middleton, Giannis, Jabari, Sanders. I expect to see that lineup but with Knight replacing Marshall.

I'm seeing a number of "Wolters as starting PG" in these threads. At what point does homeless man's Rubio hit a shot from outside five feet?*

Yeah I don't get it at all either. Wolters is a better defending, better ball handling, worse shooting version of Knight. Don't want Knight or Wolters any where near the point. Marshall and Bayless have been our best PGs so far and that isn't saying much. As good as Mayo has been playing I think I'd rather see him at the point and live with the turnovers. It's not about winning this year it's about developing Giannis and Parker, period. Whoever puts them in the best position to get a few easy buckets while learning the offense/defense is the guy I want in there.

I thought Bayless did a good job last night.

Really though want Marshall starting. He makes his bigs play big. And we've got four of them that can use good feeds (Jabari/Giannis/Larry/Henson).

I've thought Mayo has looked pretty good so far.

How about the hand full of sets with Middleton running the point? :D I see stuff like that and I want to run onto the court and give Kidd's coaching staff a big hug, and then walk over and punch Boylan and Drew in the gut. Mayo looks plugged in doing the little things on the floor too. Henson making solid passes. Absolutely giddy about these guys actually developing this year.

He's the only option who will bring the ball up then get out of the way. Like DB said, I just want to see Jabari and Giannis playing ball, I don't want a guy trying to make a name for himself playing PG. Happy for some Marshall to help out when needed.

I don't want to see alternating Giannis and Jabari ISOs every time we have the ball. I have no desire to be the next Thunder, much rather be the next Spurs.

PG: Marshall or Bayless (If Bayless continues the unselfish, pass first play)
SG: Middleton
SF: Giannis
PF: Jabari
C: Sanders

If we use Knight and Henson off of the bench, we should actually have a pretty damn good second unit. I expect to see Knight start though, sadly.
