Rank our roster in order of who you want getting minutes...

Post#1 » by cinematographer » Tue Oct 21, 2014 10:46 pm

...with no consideration given to position.

I'm testing a hypothesis.

We should have guys limit it the top ten in order so this doesn't get too confusing.

High to Low
Jabari
Giannis
Middleton
Sanders
Henson
Marshall
Mayo
Bayless
Dudley
Wolters

Inglis (if he can walk)

Guys I don't care about: Ersan, ZaZa, Knight, JOB

Flip Sanders and Middleton and put Knight in right above Henson and this is pretty much my list.

Really this season is about hoping to develop Jabari and Giannis and getting Sanders back to DPoY form with an honorable mention to hopeing Middleton turns into a sniper for us. Anything else would be gravey

1. Giannis Jabari Middleton Marshall Henson Wolters Sanders

2. Inglis when he's healthy, Mayo if he keeps up this level up play, JOB if you're talking about the D League, Knight because of the numbers in his age column.

3. Dudley, Bayless, Ersan, and Zaza for trade value.

Who I want to see play, who I'd like to showcase to start the season and who I'd like to hide a bit makes this difficult.

Giannis
Jabari
Middleton
Inglis
Wolters
Sanders

Mayo
Dudley

And then, I guess, Arsen if he's not bricking everything or Knight if he's not at point or chucking or Henson to see if he can rid himself of last year's stank, but it's all with caveats, and if I'm being honest, I probably like this iteration of Bayless in his role for us more than Knight.

We went small last night, and it was fun. Damn the torpedoes, unleash our open court marvels and long range bombers and let them gel. Establish an identity.

Gotta have the Euro game to go with the Euro name!

I'm high on parts of Knight's game and Death Valley low on others. If the bad could be excised from his game, and if he never played one minute of point guard save for emergency situations, I'd like him. But, at this point in Knight's career, House would be saying "people don't change" and checking under Knight's bed for lupus or something.

We saw last night in the 4th Q what this team can do off of penetration, it is still incumbent upon Knight to do that when in the game but I have seen a concerted effort on his behalf to pass more and I'd like to give him the opportunity to see if it works. He's averaged 8.9 assists/36 in PS whereas Marshall is at 9 per 36.

Plus bouncing around names like Burke, Schroeder, Larkin, Jackson makes me think we'd be better off keeping Knight and cutting bait if necessary.

I really like Schröder, and his quicks are incredible. His Euro catch-and-shoot numbers give me hope there's a good shooter in there somewhere. But I'm with you in that we shouldn't cut bait quite yet on Knight in the hope that he's cut the awful parts of his game out, but I'm not sure how much time we have to wait and see. On top of that, I'm not sure how much time he should be getting right now. I don't think Knight would've helped us at all last night.
