New favorite song. And this guy just makes my day.

I wasn't the biggest fan of theirs for their first album but this is spot-on for me.

Yep, she's awesome. The ep collection is top shelf, too. "Avant Gardener" stays in constant rotation at Chonestown HQ.

Courtney is going to smash the **** world, man. I seriously came to this thread just to drop a tune and say I'm happy she's getting some press after killing it at SXSW so I'm stoked you cats have heard of her. :D

After giving the new Lightning Bolt and Tricot albums extensive spins I finally got around to listening to Chons album and it's great.

Videos are low budget and all, but they still made my favorite album in the last year.

Yeah, PVRIS is great. "My House" is my personal favorite song by them. Rise has always been a label with tremendous talent. Home to many of my favorites like The Devil Wears Prada, Man Overboard, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Sharks, Burden Of A Day, and Coretta Scott.

Love Kendrick. Loved Section 80 and Good Kid Madd City. Don't love To Pimp a Butterfly. Same goes for J Cole. Love his mixtapes, Cole World, and Born Sinner. Not a big fan Forest Hills Drive. That said, I'll be at the Marcus on July 1st for Kendrick, and then again on the 3rd for Ed Sheeran. Thought X deserved album of the year over Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour.

This kid is from Milwaukee. Extremely beautiful sound and video. Look for his name in the future

And yep, I see the genius behind TPAB but its an extremely boring listen for me. Quite sad actually :(. King Kunta is probably the best hip hop song to be released in a while though

Cool thread. Thanks for the introduction to some new Milwaukee hip hop, too.

High Rotation for me...

Thanks for sharing that WebsterX video. I listened to a bunch of his stuff last night and really enjoyed most of it. Do you know where I can buy his music? Didn't see him on iTunes. I'd even be up for purchasing a CD. :D I know I can download most of his stuff but I like to financially support local artists.

Im pretty sure all of his music is free on soundcloud up to this point, he has a shirt you can buy on his website though if you want to support him. http://www.websterxdotcom.com/

I'm pretty sure this board got me into Hot Water Music a few years back, someone recommended them. Chuck Ragan has a new solo album, it's awesome

This song and video were both incredibly well done. Great song and the video was so recognizably Milwaukee right down to the Cream City brick. I'm a fan.

You'll be hearing more from him, this kind of talent gets recognized eventually. Really awesome to see a hip hop artist who has a really solid shot to be huge out of Milwaukee

:o Dang, thanks for posting. That kid has some real talent. Just got to tighten up a few areas and he could really hit it. Really does a good job on a couple of his songs.
