BTW, unfortunately they changed the format on us. I'm not exactly sure why. But instead of systematically moving from one issue to the next, and havingbeveryone speak on that isssue before moving to the next issue, they are having everyone speak in the order they signed up once they got inside.

We were holding a press conference outside, so there are many people now ahead of our speakers

So you haven't spoken yet? I'm watching the stream and they're just talking about Mental Health Reform. I think I missed you guys.

http://www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/arena-backers-urge-legislators-to-pass-scott-walkers-bonding-proposal-b99466154z1-297027901.html

Supporters of a new downtown Milwaukee arena on Friday urged legislators to approve Gov. Scott Walker's bond-financing plan.

About two dozen arena supporters gathered in front of Alverno College's Pitman Theatre to support the arena, saying it would create jobs, revitalize downtown and keep Milwaukee a major-league city. The Legislature's Joint Finance Committee was holding a public hearing on Walker's executive budget.

The consortium, put together by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, includes Fuel Milwaukee, Newaukee, Save Our Bucks and CARW — Commercial Association of Realtors.

"We want this arena to happen," said Cory Joe Biddle, executive director of Fuel Milwaukee, an organization for young professionals in the area.

"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and the clock is ticking," added Tracy Johnson, CARW's president and CEO.

At Friday's hearing, Bob Cook, a lobbyist for the Bucks, and Timothy Sheehy, MMAC's president, are expected to urge legislators to approve the arena project.

On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) said Walker's $220 million bonding proposal was dead. He has said he is working on another proposal that could alleviate the need for bonding. Details of that plan have not been released.

We can't overlook the fact that the Bucks hired Fitzgerald's brother as a lobbyist.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Lots of empty seats in the front. Is everybody just leaving after they get their turn?

The state of WI needs to invest in projector to post names of the people speaking so you don't have to list it after each person.

BizJournal & Don Walker recaps have all pertinent information.

Format change, bumped from speaking spot, pushed down on list to speak, waited for 5 hours to speak and was still hours away so I never ended up speaking. Frustrating and very long day to accomplish very little. I guess that's politics though.

Thank you for the brave few souls who showed up and many thanks to GAD specifically.
