Exactly, it wasn't even that low. I should have said "perceived low minute cap".

We will always find a reason to complain.

We will win the Finals and everyone will be pissed that Jabari won MVP over Giannis/

Doesn't Ersan have a history of turning it up against the Pacers in particular?

Remember rumors years back of Indiana interest in Ilyasova so maybe he has some extra motivation when taking them on.

2nd half was so slow and boring because of the fouls. Ersan was huge tonight, I knew he was never a negative value type of guy because stretch 4s who can rebound, D up and hit 3s are always in demand. He needs to be a starter though and isn't as effective off the bench so I still think we should trade him in the off-season with Jabari back next year and Giannis / Inglis etc all getting minutes at the 4.

I bet Washington would love him at the PF spot next to Gortat, would be a great fit.

I've been talking up Ersan for weeks in game threads and am not surprised at all to see him put up a career-high. I think I said after the last game that it's the best I've seen Ersan look on the court.

That was among the worst foul calling games I have ever seen. Was there any basketball after midway through the 2nd quarter? It was just fouls from what I witnessed. It came to a point where I was complaining when the Pacers were called for a foul. Let them play! They are grown men!

What was that?

Well, I'll take the W. I'll give the refs an excuse because they were a man down for a while when Spooner went to the locker room with a knee injury. I really think the refs got caught in a position in which they called so many fouls they had to be consistent and it just snowballed.

That was one of the ugliest games I have ever seen in my life.

Just for fun I'd like to point out that Giannis has scored 15 or more in 8 out of the last 10 games and double digits in the past 10 games straight. He keeps raising the bar of his game-to-game expectations.

If this was last year and Giannis was putting up the numbers he's getting now, people would be endlessly freaking out. Instead, it's become commonplace. Even the national hype for him has died out a bit because of this. He's not our favorite super-raw rookie anymore. :(

Yeah but no one laughs at you when you say you would take him over Wiggins now :)

Dear lord that second half was just painful to watch with all the free throws.

Agree with AB that the heavy minutes aren't quite as bad as they seem since Giannis is still an auxiliary player on offense. Maybe they plan to rest him some once the 6th seed is locked up.

With a competent PG or Giannis running point forward tonight, I feel confident saying that Ersan goes for 40+, Giannis and Middleton break 20+ each. Instead there was some baddy chucking in place of getting efficient scorers even more deserved opportunities.

I'm going to watch the replay and form my own opinion but purely off box scores MCW seems to have had a solid game. The shooting aside, 8/2 assist/turnovers is nice although he did foul out for the second game in a row.
Semi positive performance? There isn't the usual backlash but I'm putting that down to the Badgers game taking the attention.

Great game despite getting close at the end.

Ersan was stellar. I wish he could be half as good for the majority of the games. His 3pts were a pleasure to watch , because he didn't just make them , it is that no rim perfect shot satisfaction that most of them had :D
And 34 pts in just 12 attempts !

MCW ,ok his scoring def needs improving, but 8 assists + 4 steals >>>> 2 TOs

Giannis points seem low for 43 minutes , but it was in just 10 attempts. Also when you win a game by 4 pts , and you have a player that played 43 minutes has a +- of +13 , that means something was going terribly wrong in the 5' he was away
As for the minutes I am also worried about the fatigue, especially with Play offs coming.
I don't know if it is Kidd's bad time management or if he looks at Giannis (and/or most starters) in court, then the bench and thinks "I'm screwed "

And those "dead periods" we have f.ex losing 20pts lead last night can now officially be called "the time were the bench comes in".
Last night 5 starters had +7 to +19 and the bench from -4 to -15 !

Since we're playoff bound, I'm just hoping Ersan, Duds and Mayo light it up. Might be able to move Henson+pick+one of em for something.

Yep, Ersan is making a potentially valuable run.

Ersan is a superstar. No way can we move him.

Those Pacer guards just kept hitting everything they chucked up there last night. Was glad to see that game finally end.
