With #17 the Bucks take...

Post#1 » by DutchManDanFan » Wed Jun 3, 2015 6:26 pm

I've looked at different mock drafts and these are in the top 16 mostly:
1-4: Okafor - Towns - Russell - Mudiay
5-10: Winslow - Hezonja - WCS - Porzingis - Johnson - Turner
11-16: Booker - Kaminsky - Dekker - Payne - Lyles - Portis

* You have 2 options, so if you think your 1st choise might not be available, you can also give your 2nd choise.
* Don't take the 1st option if you don't think someone drops outside this top 16, or there is someone in this top 16 you don't want for the Bucks.
* Pick your personal preference, not the one you think the Bucks will take.
* You are allowed to change your vote.
* Poll is open until June 25

Is this our personal preference or who we project them to take?

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

If it's personal preference, why would the title be "with #17 the bucks take..."? That seems to imply what we think the bucks will do, rather than what we want or prefer the bucks to do.

Yeah, but will other people who vote know? I just think the voting could be skewed if half are voting for who people think the bucks will take vs who they like personally. I could be off on this, maybe people would vote the same in either case.

See, I think some of these other guys will be available too, so I'd want to express my preference in the form of a big board among the possibles.

My big board is:

1. Cameron Payne
2. Jerian Grant
3. Sam Dekker
4. Devin Booker
5. Tyus Jones
5. Bobby Portis
6. Montrezl Harrell
7. Delon Wright

Anybody on that list I'd be fine with, in that order of preference.

Anybody else off the list I'd be disappointed by to varying degrees. Somewhat disappointed by Looney, Oubre, Lyles, and Anderson. Majorly disappointed by Hunter, Vaughn, Wood, Hernangomez, and RHJ.

I think the f.o. is looking at it in a similar way because they say they have their group of 10 players and they'll take the highest among those rankings. And I'm sure it doesn't exclude players who are slightly probable to be gone. I don't see the point in leaving off most of those 11-16 guys because they seem virtual 50/50 to be available. And then if they fall they are theoretically "value picks".

But within your parameters I went Payne.

If the board fell like you had in the original post, it's Oubre pretty easily for me. Tyus #2.

I do not think they stay at 17, I think they move up.....for the sake of this poll chose anyone who falls and Oubre. I am ok with grant, jones would be the last guy I want.

Alright, I changed the 1st post.

The poll can only have 10 options. If someone from this top 16 drops it looks likely it will be the Bucks pick (BPA). That's why I added the first option for anyone who drops. It becomes difficult if you don't like everyone from this top 16, but for this poll it doesn't matter that much.

Not necessarily who I want but I'm predicting Oubre or Hunter at this point.

Hoping for Booker, but I'd be fine with Oubre, Hunter or Portis.
