Did any more info come out about Sullinger unfollowing Boston and following Charlotte on twitter?

No more trades right? Didn't the deadline for pick trades expire early today?

So no solid rumors yet?! Miss Buck Pack. Wouldn't be surprised if we made a big move today, just hope that if we trade Henson and MCW in that deal its to get a superstar or a top 5 pick. This is probably the highest Henson's value will be.

D'Angelo Russell might well be the best player in this draft when all said and done, and I'd take him at 2-4 over Mudiay and Okafor depending upon roster composition. They are all rather close as prospects to me, so that would be a factor.

But I do have a few considerable problems with Russell.

One, he takes a number of ill-advised shots that have you saying what the eff. There's so much swag there, which could be a good or bad thing. At the same time, his %'es were decent for a highly-ranked prospect factoring in comp and volume. Shots from outside often go in with just a flick of the wrist. Probably needs to create better separation in the NBA.

Two, he's 6'5", and yet < 22% of his shots came at the rim, and in those selective attempts he had an average % of 62+%. He also has a mediocre fouls drawn rate. His athleticism is not impressive, he's not strong to the hoop, and so much of his game, shooting or passing, comes from the outside. NBA is a shooting/penetration combo game. You gotta at least significantly threaten drives, and do it plenty, to set up open passes. But once against his shot is pretty nice and his passing from the perimeter is quite funky and creative.

Three, we've touched on the modest athleticism, and he has that kind of size too if he's going to man the 2 spot. To boot, his defensive intensity level is low. Although he is savvy.

So I'm hardly over the moon about him. But I could envision him overcoming his flaws to be as high as 2nd-3rd team NBA. And he's too confident, savvy, and skilled to bust. However, this notion that he has the most potential in the draft, and the best chance at 1st team all NBA, I think is wrong. Towns is an all-arounder, and there's a better chance of Mudiay + Okafor learning to shoot with their form and touch, Okafor learning how to defend too with his length, footwork, and power, than there is Russell defending, scoring around the hoop, and drawing fouls with the aforementioned issues.

Chad Ford's on SportsCenter saying that Russell to LA is looking more and more likely. Then at the end, he talks about how it all could be smoke and mirrors.

I don't know why LA couldn't just draft Okafor, sign Aldridge, have them play together, and move Randle for a top 10'ish pick or solid vet at one of the other positions. More teams in the league are going small ball, so you go big ball. Those small ball players couldn't handle a frontcourt like Okafor/Aldridge because they are actually very offensive. Would just drop the ball over them inside or at mid-range. Draymond Green was asking for it, but Mozgov was the best true big they had. Not known as an offensive player, but still had some success.

Or just keep Randle around as your 6th man scorer. Nothing wrong with that.

Clarkson, Randle, Aldridge, Okafor would be exciting moving forward. Let Bryant do his farewell tour this year and then sign some shooters next offseason.
