God doesn't care where you play Klay. He has bigger things to deal with. How and why did Milwaukee even come up is beyond me. Milwaukee is such a hell hole Klay.

The writer of the quote told me Klay thought he was going to Milwaukee and that's why he responded that way, not because of the way the question was asked.

So, now we have official record that the Bucks previous regime passed on Steph Curry for Andrew Bogut and we also passed on drafting Klay Thompson so we could trade down 9 spots and make sure we get Stephen Jackson back.

This Warriors team should be sending thank you cards to Herb Kohl. Their championship doesn't happen without him.

Put Middleton on Golden State, with Curry, etc. taking a ton of attention off him. I bet GS doesn't skip a beat.

Hey! At least it's a step up from a few short years ago, when everybody hated every Bucks player. :D

That's why I says Buckfansince88 would be thinking differently if he were Bucksfansince92. He's got that Jay Humphries hubris.

Meanwhile, when it comes to comparisons with our players, Bucksfansince14 is like:

The opportunity to acquire Stephen Jackson and make a run at an 8th seed doesn't come around every day. We too are thankful to God for the opportunity to 'win the whole damn thing'.

I'm not sure there's many things you can say Middleton is better at than Thompson, and that includes defense in general. Maybe you could say posting up and using length in the passing lanes, but I can't think of much more.

Not saying it's never true for any of them but there are now three Ws for whom I've heard as an argument in favor of how great they are defensively that they draw the toughest assignment, and from what I've seen of those three guys it's least true for Klay. What makes them good defensively is that they play together, plus Bogut and Iguodala.

As an aside, I've had enough of this nonsense about guys like Klay and Draymond and for that matter Khris (basically name your highly competent team-oriented defensive player) being framed as stoppers when that's not at all what they are -- they just play within their concept and can switch onto a broader than average range of players without getting killed by them. That's very very valuable and it's not my intention to diminish them, rather to describe them accurately, because there's a big difference defensively between guys like Klay and Khris and guys like Iguodala, who is a categorical defensive star and a competent team-oriented *offensive* player.

Was Klay ever actually in play for the Bucks? As far as I remember we traded down that year and the Jimmer pick was really Sac's pick (similar to how Dirk was never really in play for the Bucks).

But I guess they could have kept the pick and taken Klay. Seems moot though as they likely chose Tobes well before draft night and looked for an opportunity to trade down and get an 'asset' (SJAX!).

I see no story here. I would say the same as Thompson if I had just won a championship. Not only for Bucks but for every other team before the Warriors that had passed me.
It's as if the Bucks win the title in 2-3 years and Giannis saying "thank god Boston didnt pick me".
No hay banda.

Tough talk from Jimmy Olsen.

....aint s__t without Superman flying around.
The Milwaukee Bucks. Still the only major Milwaukee team to get closest to a title since the mid 1980's.

Talk is cheap, prejudice is easy. I know that I wouldn't want a person like Thompson as a friend. I don't care what he thinks of me or my people. Wisconsin and Milwaukee are fine, beautiful places. A man who plays a game for a living has no bearing on my self-image.

I have been to 49 states and three other countries. Everywhere has it's pluses and minuses. That certainly includes San Francisco and California.

Enjoy what you have, guy. We won't know who you are in ten years.
