You're the Worst episode last night should be probably an award winner of some kind. For a primarily comedy show it really hits on some stuff.

So I finished Curb and it was hands down the best comedy series I've ever watched. Started Veep last night and made it 4 or 5 episodes in and really didn't make me laugh. Does it pick up at all or is it more of an issue I'm holding it to way to high of a standard following Curb?

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

Was looking forward to it, but I hear Luke Cage is terrible?

That's strange. I thought it was amazing.

I can't think of the last show where I've seen such polarizing opinions. I haven't read in depth reviews because spoilers, but people either seem to love it or really hate it.

Westworld has me intrigued. Not exactly a 'holy ****' pilot but very good and interesting plot possibilities.

Yeah, they're playing the long game here. They've already planned out the entire series, and they know how it ends. That's not often the case with TV series.

I liked the pilot, and can see some crazy AI type stuff coming.

The Westworld pilot was fantastic.

Spoiler:
I love that they're going right at the problem of consciousness. The question of whether or not self-aware non-humans can be owed morality (yes, of course) has been asked many times before, and it's fairly boring territory. The question of how consciousness arises, and how we know if an AI is conscious is much more interesting.

The music was fantastic, the acting was great, the story was good, and they did the best they could with the action with a nearly invincible character.

I watched first 6 episodes of Luke Cage. Was OK but I found the villains pretty corny

It's pretty weird seeing Anthony Hopkins in a tv show. Dude is still a fantastic actor. His scenes were among the best last night (to no surprise). I also thought all of the actors playing robots did a great job as well, those performances will be the key to the show going forward.

I had a pair back in the day. One of the few pairs of basketball shoes you could buy for $10.

I still have (somewhere) an extremely nice authentic Georgia Tech Marbury jersey that I bought from Steven & Barry's. I think it was only $10 or $15 and was really high quality.

S&B's used to be the go to spot for any college apparel. They had practically all of D-1 in the t-shirt section.

Yea I was shocked when a place went out of business that was charging 1/3 the price as the same product at the store down the street. It was my go-to place as well but never understood how that was sustainable. Yes, I bought at least two pairs of Starburys as well.

I didn't watch the Westworld premiere and didn't plan on it just based on not being too intrigued by the premise. But after seeing some posts here and other positive reviews I guess I'll have to give it a shot. Was hoping to skip one HBO show, I should've known better.
