I know it was touched upon awhile ago in one of these threads, but after watching the NHL lottery over the weekend, the wait on the NBA's lottery is killing me. Another 2 weeks, so stupid, as it is every year. Our 1.8% and 6.5% only grow stronger with the wait, they'll pay.
Go Bucks!

I modified my measurement table using percentile with all players in the DX combine database (2009-2015). The 2016 measurements are the most recent available. I'll update when the 2016 combine results come in. I'll also try to post something that has all the measurements, as I think that is probably more useful.

I would love to come away with one of LaVert, Brogdon or Cordinier in the second round. I think all three will be serviceable role players in the next couple of years. If LaVert can actually stay healthy he has a chance at becoming a quality 6th man or even our 4th scoring option starting next to Giannis.

I think Ulis will struggle because of his lack of bulk where as a player like Felder has a better shot at sticking in the league.

http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2016/05/prospect-profile-demetrius-jackson.html

OVERVIEW: Demetrius Jackson took over as Notre Dame’s floor leader as a junior and emerged as a first-round prospect. Jackson led the Irish to the Elite Eight despite some struggles offensively during the latter stages of the season. He finished his college career with a 26-point performance against North Carolina and averaged 15.8 points, 4.7 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals for the season. Jackson played steady minutes as a sophomore, though current Knicks point guard Jerian Grant was the team’s primary ballhandler. Jackson was also a rotation player as a freshman after being a highly touted prep star, ranking No. 33 overall in his class, according to the Recruiting Services Consensus Index. At 6’1”, the 21-year-old Jackson is smaller than the prototypical NBA point guard.

STRENGTHS: Like most smaller point guards, Jackson relies on his quickness and athleticism. He’s got superior explosion, allowing him to get into the paint and create havoc. That will serve him well in a pick-and-roll reliant NBA scheme. It also works well in the transition game, where he’s nearly impossible to catch as he converts layups or finds trailers for dunks. ESPN Insider Chad Ford credits Jackson for his pass-first mentality, decision-making and a knack for making his teammates better. DraftExpress’ Jonathan Givony notes that while Jackson is small, he’s powerfully built and can finish through contact. His outstanding leaping ability allows him to be on the receiving end of lobs. He also moves well without the ball and is a solid shooter off the catch, with Givony pointing out that he made 41% of his shots with his feet set. Turnovers were not a big issue for Jackson, as he averaged 2.2 as a junior while playing 36 minutes per game. Jackson has also impressed talent evaluators with his competitiveness, according to NBA.com’s David Aldridge.

I really think that Demetrius is a Lillard level player. He doesn't shoot as many threes, especially off the bounce but if he's starting next to Point Giannis then he'll be shooting more catch and shoot 3s which he hits at 41% anyway. I think the lack of turnovers is huge though. Jackson only had 2.2 in 36 minutes as the leader of the offense this year, similar to Kemba Walker who is one of the league leaders in avoiding TOs with a heavy offensive load and a stud when the game is on the line and you need a score. Jackson was crazy efficient as the number two ball handler last year for Notre Dame averaging only 1.5 turnovers with a 62%ts/59%efg which is the role that I'd envision for him on the Bucks. Play off the ball on offense and run the high PnR when Giannis struggles with his initial set. Demetrius has amazing handles for those situations when you just cant have a turnover on offense and need a score, he doesn't have CP3 court vision but he's more than good enough as a number two ball handler and probably at times the number 3 or 4 on the Bucks. Jackson is the same size as Chris Paul but he's stronger and while Notre Dame didn't stress defense I think Jackson was very opportunistic on the ball as we saw against the Badgers.

As we get started, Kemba Walker one of best in the league at avoiding TOs with big offensive role:

http://www.draftexpress.com/article/Wade-Baldwin-NBA-Draft-Scouting-Report-and-Video-Breakdown-5466

Offensively, the first thing that jumps out on Baldwin, both on his stat sheet and when watching film,
is his perimeter shooting, as he's made 40.6% of his 199 three-point attempts during his two seasons in college. He's most prolific as a shooter off the catch, where he shot 42% on the season and over 43% when left unguarded, both numbers which, when accounting for the fact that the vast majority of those attempts were from three-point range, were well above average, yielding 1.246 and 1.267 points per shot, respectively, according to Synergy Sports Technology.

Baldwin was much less comfortable as a shooter off the dribble, despite yielding 0.829 points per shot on such attempts, a better-than-average figure. When watching him in game situations, the results off the dribble were pretty inconsistent, with pronounced hot and cold spells which made it a tough facet of his game to rely on. Baldwin doesn't get a lot of elevation on his jump shots and has a low release point that's almost out in front of his body, which makes his shot a little bit easier to contest, and thus requires more time and space to get it off, factors which could impact his effectiveness pulling up off the dribble, and creating shots overall for himself and others, at the next level.

The other main problem with Baldwin in a half court setting is his struggles both getting to, and finishing, in the paint, struggles which exist for a multitude of reasons. Baldwin is fast when he has built up a head of steam, something which becomes evident in transition, but he lacks the elite burst to turn the corner on a defender in the half court, and struggles to get into the paint because of it. He doesn't offset this with an overly advanced dribble, either, and doesn't change speeds, or direction, quite as well as you would want in a primary ball handler. Finally, when Baldwin gets into the paint he has only average explosiveness around the hoop, and his lack of a consistent in-between game --- both in the form of pull-up jump shot or a floater in the lane – makes game planning against him relatively easy for a defense.

Baldwin does have a strong, developed upper body, and he uses that to initiate contact and get to the free throw line at a rate of 7.7 times per 40 minutes, pace adjusted, an incredible rate for somebody of his relatively low usage. This helps offset some of his struggles at the rim, but shooting just 38% on half court shots around the basket, as Synergy has logged for Baldwin, is something he's going to have to improve upon significantly at the next level.

Baldwin's struggles to really turn the corner and get into the paint with regularity also limit him somewhat as a shot creator for others. He is a willing, and able, passer, who has some creativity, both out of pick and roll situations and on drive and kicks, but he can force the issue at times driving to the hoop, leading to both offensive foul calls and getting himself in dangerous situations without having a plan on how to pass out of them. He can also get sloppy with a handle that all too frequently is high and off balance, which both limits his ability to turn the corner, but also makes him prone to being stripped of the ball more often he ideally would, and overall his 3.6 turnovers per 40 minutes, pace adjusted, is the second worst mark among point guards in our top-100 rankings, are a clear area in need of improvement.

Jackson has pretty similar catch and shoot %

No, it's an average of no shoe height, weight, wingspan, and reach.

http://www.draftexpress.com/article/Deyonta-Davis-NBA-Draft-Scouting-Report-and-Video-Breakdown-5467

They claim he has a big standing reach. Hmm i wonder how big it is

The intrigue around Davis starts with his tremendous physical profile, which is simply ideal for a modern day NBA big man. He stands 6'10 with a 7'2 wingspan and a big standing reach, to go along with an excellent 240 pound frame that will continue to fill out nicely in time. Davis is also a terrific athlete, smooth, agile and highly fluid, running the floor exceptionally well, with great quickness and the ability to elevate effortlessly around the rim in the blink of an eye.

Offensively, Davis was far from a prolific scorer for Michigan State, lacking the strength to assert himself consistently inside the post, but also an advanced skill-level outside of it. He does not possess a sophisticated post game, as his footwork and countermoves are rudimentary, particularly utilizing his left hand, and he often looks rushed trying to create his own offense.

With that said, Davis found ways to be effective in a very compact role throughout the season, showing just enough glimpses to lead you to believe that he won't be just a non-scoring, defensive oriented, hustle guy down the track. His excellent hands, soft touch and tremendous physical tools make him an extremely reliable finisher. He catches everything thrown his way, and is so quick off his feet that he's very difficult for opposing big men to contest, making him an outstanding target off cuts and pick and rolls, and also a reliable option for lobs. His reach and effortless bounce allows him to finish plays almost without jumping, and he has just enough of a right-handed jump-hook that he can throw the ball in the basket inside the paint from interesting vantage points.

Davis' touch, and solid shooting mechanics, lead you to believe that he may be able to develop the range on his jumper as his career progresses as well. That will be important, as otherwise he may be relegated to a role as strictly an undersized rim-running center in today's NBA.

The best attributes Davis offers at this point likely revolve around his defense. He's quick and agile enough to stay in front of pretty much any power forward, and should be able to add enough bulk to his excellent frame to hold his own as a small-ball center in time. He has great potential as a pick and roll defender, already showing terrific flashes stepping out and switching onto guards and wings, covering ground and moving his feet with excellent lateral quickness, and being difficult to shoot over with the way he contests looks on the perimeter. He blocks an impressive 4.1 shots per-40 minutes this season as well, many on the ball, while showing the ability to develop into an excellent rim-protector in time.

Anybody who's as quick to the rim as he is has to have either a big standing reach or a crazy vert.

combine numbers wont do him justice since they dont take into account how quickly he can get up. Even plodders like Klove record a 35 inch max vert
