Here you go. The definitive piece I wrote a couple years ago.

Pretty cool to retire from being the boss, handing out 100 million to the city fir a new arena and then handing out 10 million to employees as a thank you.

That's quite incredible.

Disagree. If you want to argue that it's a net neutral, ok. I just think there would need to be some level of on the court success as a direct result of his meddling to view his tenure as even slightly positive.

I don't understand what you mean by this.

It's pretty much impossible to argue he's a net neutral as he is probably the single biggest reason there is still a team in Milwaukee.

ESBF is right. That alone should get people to view him in a positive light no matter how dim the light may be

Raptors 1st ever 7-game series win, ending longest current drought since playoff series win (R1 - 2001). Longest now is Bucks (R2 - 2001).

As GAD pointed out, the biggest reason there was ever a risk of the Bucks leaving was Herb Kohl, so technically you can blame most of the anxiety over potentially losing the team on him. I find the idea that to be a true fan you must view Kohl in a positive light as a joke. Once again, seemingly nice guy, awful awful owner.

Before LED took over, we had three types of Bucks fans.

-Die Hard Kareem Era Old-Timers: These are the people who saw Kareem and Oscar play in person.

-Die Hard Don Nelson era Old-Timers: That would be me and others who grew up with the 1980's Bucks that did great under Nelson

-Die-Hard "Big 3" Era guys: Guys from ages 26-36 who came of age as youth with the 2001 team. (who make up the largest demo of this board)

That's really it. The casual fans all came back for 2001 but then bailed over the ensuing ten-years.
