He is. Which is why it is so relieving that he is showing something already.

Have to give a shout out to that out of bounds pass from Brogdon to James for the oop. A thing of beauty.

to be fair, Yi was a beast in summer league I think

or at least I remember him hitting at least one game winner and thinking that

but in the short amount of time I saw him play what really stood out was the ground Thon covered and his closing speed, his hands seem pretty good making a couple touch catches. Very quick and aggressive tho, was impressed. It would be really nice if Thon could contribute anything this year.

Thon reminds me of a slightly taller Tim Thomas.

It just seems like whatever Thon's maximum potential is, he's going to do everything in his power to reach it. Rashad Vaughn on the other hand...

Na, I posted the stats for all our first rounders recently. Yi shot 25.5% from the field and grabbed 4.4 rebs per game. The only thing he did solidly was block shots. I think summer league is conducive to it because it's a lot of frenetic street ball, they call fouls loosely, and have a lot of them to use.

I'm taking a deep breath after this.

Not sure where his career goes but he hustles hard and had pretty decent defensive awareness. They just need to break him of the idea he's a guard, as they did with Larry and Henson.

If Thomas had the motor Thon showed he would have been the player people thought he could be.

Okay...just go home and figured I'd be at least able to catch a little via espn 3...but moments late. Sounds like Thon was showing some signs. Any way to re view it?

Was at work, missed the game. It's making my day to read all the positivity on this thread.
