No bigger task for an NBA GM than the one Sean Marks has.

Right, so this is where the Lopez stuff came from.

I suppose he'd actually space for Giannis and Parker but I can't stand the idea of a C who doesn't rebound.

I never remember him being an amazing defender either.

On the plus side, he doesn't have many assets to shortchange. I think he nailed Atkinson as coach and the bargains he's picked up were well-chosen. The hardest thing for them to do is to take the necessary lumps - which is inevitable - and to avoid the temptation of the quick (in this context) fix - which will be difficult.

The contract is for two & a half more years. It's fine. The positives outweigh the cost.

So just say it went down. We would be paying a lot of money for two SG's with injury problems. At least it would fix our centre problems.

If the hawks continue to fall in the East, I would take a look at a Korver deal and see if they would take something cheap like Vaughn or something.

We'd be exponentially more dangerous on both sides of the ball.

If we could do a wink wink 3-4 year agreement with Bojan Bogdanovic I'd send Brooklyn our 2017 1st. Bojan would really bolster our offense & tries to be in the right spot defensively. It'd be sweet if we could dump Plumlee on them too. Maybe they could find a third team willing to part with some assets for Lopez.

Oh god no. That would be horrible. Bojan is one of the worst defenders out there. And using a first to aquire a not particularly good RFA is ridiculous.

Bojan isn't that great and dosen't fill a position of need anyway. I do like Wes Mathews though and said so even before his recent play. I wonder what it'd take to dump Plumlee on Dallas as they rebuild and take Wes off them....

+1

How does a guy 7'0" 270lbs, who plays 30mins a game only average 5 rbs??? He's always been a giant puss. I don't mind if he tries to stretch the floor sometime, but don't fall in love with it.

The rebounding thing scares me the most, I can only imagine all the standing around and staring at one another that would happen with him & Jabari as balls fall to the floor or "mysteriously" end up in opponents hands for easy put backs.

The game last night reminded me why I hate Lopez. So soft.

That said, I have a lot of ptsd from Henson having these kind of spurts of encouraging play before totally falling off.

If we have the opportunity to consolidate Henson + Monroe for an upgrade at center (if only opening up a roster spot for another guard) I'd consider it.

C'mon, just leave Khris out of the trade talks. If he gets back 100%, we are contenders. Never give up on him. I miss him too but this is a dumb win now move and we can't contest with Ross and Howard.

I wanted the Ross Henson deal too. Just cause Ross makes similar numbers with Khris in this sample doesn't mean they have similar value.
Khris been doing this for years. He is clutch and you have to consider that Ross is making these numbers with the 2nd squad, against 2nd squads. Starter Ross could be a different - worse player.

I believe we are at a better position than most Bucks' fans believe. 2 of our 3 centers are perfoming well and they are all healthy. We stand pat and wait for a good deal for Monroe or Henson. If nothing comes we play Monroe, let him walk and start Henson next year with Plumlee as backup. We really need to focus on our PG/SG position... Just deny the Lopez trade and ... Lets work with Henson and how he excels his game as a starter. His confidence is sky high.

This was a viable option in the offseason. But Toronto's now got 2 different backup C's that have both looked good in their minutes, and Bebe provides a lot of what Henson does at a fraction of the cost
