Wow.
So a while ago I bought an Xbox Live 3 Month account and a wireless router. Only when I set everything up I found out my router wasn't compatible with the 360. Rather than take it back, I lost interest in Live and kept the router.
So now I just moved into a new place and finally redeemed the Live account. I **** love the Xbox Live Arcade.
Doom
Street Fighter 2
Streets of Rage
Double Dragon
Old school, amazing titles.
And of course the biggie...Castlevania: SOTN. Can't wait to get to 202% complete. I think that's the highest possible, right?

Haha that game is sweet, the last sequence with the last boss is pretty tough though.
I'm not a huge RPG game guy either, but there was a little known 2-D game for ps1 called Wild Arms, very, very fun.
yeah, it definitely had some tricky parts, i remember having trouble fighting the cake and the chefs

I just think in general developers pay too much attention to the look rather than whether or not a game is actually a good time to play or not.
That's pretty much it DB.
There is a sickening obsession these days with graphics and graphical power; just about every new next gen system touts that muscle before anything else.
Now I can't be too much of a sour puss because I've been a gamer forever and always will be because there are still good, quality games out there, but they're becoming a rare breed these days. I'm more selective than ever now when dropping $40-50 on a game because I've been burned so much.
When we start talking about all those old school and very simple and basic games, it really does have to do with the fact that they were FUN despite their ancient looking graphics; it wasn't all about graphics back then; developers had to rely on good gameplay to find an audience.
