I don't think its possible for us to end up in a tie breaker anymore so we should be stuck with those 43 ping pong balls no matter what shouldn't we?

Correct. We will have 43 of the 1000 Draft Lottery Combinations assigned to us. The point is, our odds will change ever so slightly from the ones I layed out in the Opening Post if there are ties above or below us. Those odds are quite close to what the final odds will be, but they are NOT dead nuts accurate until the final standings are in.

Now that we have the 7th seed and either 26 or 27 wins, I find it interesting how there was less parity this year.

Last season we had 28 wins yet got the 3rd seeding in the lotto. This year we have less wins but get 7th.

I think last year was a unique parity year. We are back to the days where the top three seedings go to 20-win teams.

I just want to know the answer to one question:

How many beers do I need to drink to convince myself the Bucks have a chance at Derrick Rose?
Nothing will not break me.

Do the lottery generator thing on ESPN. However many times it takes to hit on #1, slam that many beers. And make them Milwaukee's Beast please, so Rose ends up in Milwaukee and ends up a beast.

We'll have that one brief minute next month where he turns over the cards at slots number 8 and then 7 to see if we moved to top three.

I'd be pretty happy with any top three slot. That's how I was in 2006. I figured that top three guaranteed Bogut, Paul or Marvin.

Rose, Beasley, Mayo all work......then we can go forward with the rebuild and know we aren't dealing the pick.

That's pretty much where I'm at. I think there is a dropoff after the top 2 to Mayo at 3, but then another dropoff from Mayo to Bayless/Lopez/Gordon/Westbrook/Love. I think we are sitting OK if we're in the top 8 (those players mentioned I all like in some capacity save Lopez, who will go before we pick anyway). If we're 9 or 10 then I might be scared as to what direction we can go.

If you drink 100 beers, I'll write a novel about it.

Final Odds Updated.

Post#52 » by SlideRuleJockey » Thu Apr 17, 2008 4:11 am

The Season is finally (and mercifully) over.

Final odds updated in the Opening Post.

There were two sets of two teams with identical records, which affected the Final Odds.

Now just do whatever you feel will help the Bucks land Rose, be that Praying, Sticking Pins in your David Stern Voodoo Doll, Deals with the Devil or any other superstition you think would help.
