We don't need Redd, we already have Crawford, who I think is a better fit in D'Antoni's offense. We already have the power forward version of Redd and he hasn't pan out. His contract runs past 2010, and Walsh already said he isn't adding contracts past then.

This an Isiah Thomas move, luckily he isn't here.

Yeah, this trade is so one-sided it's like a Raptors fan made it.

Contrary to popular belief, the Knicks are still a professional organization, and to be one, at least some competency is required. This would require the Knicks to have an IQ of a brick.

If I came up with one, it still wouldn't stop you from calling him an all-star, an Olympic gold medalist, the best player on the team, and all sorts of other things that aren't true. So I won't be going on that scavenger hunt.

Most people around here refuse to acknowledge Redd as an all-star player and lump him into the group of one 1 year all-stars like Magloire who never come close to putting up the same numbers as they did when they were an all-star and I think thats unfair. Redd has improved on his numbers every year since becoming an all-star.

Milwaukee does this to go young Portland style and try to keep their core together. If Mayo is there at 6 like many mocks have this is a slam dunk for us. Cleveland re-tools by turning their expirings and a late first into two very talented players. Redd would be great next to Lebrizzle and Starbury still has the talent and would be worth the risk as he is on a one year deal. New York moves down in the draft but gets rid of someone they do not want, keeps their flexibility, and pick up a PF in CV that would be a perfect fit in D'Antoni's offense.

Now with picks #6 and 8 we draft Mayo and Westbrook. We use the second rounder on Devon Hardin. Seperately, we trade Mo to Miami for Haslem. MLE on Josh Childress.

Sessions/Westbrook/Bell
Mayo/Bell/Westbrook
Childress/Mason/Simmons
Haslem/Yi/Smith
Bogut/Haslem/Hardin/

Gadz and Rose on IR

Our hope is restored. If Mayo is not there, draft Randolph and Westbrook.

Why on Earth would New York do that one either? They already have Jamal Crawford, let's add three more ballhogs to that roster.

If the Bucks trade Redd for expirings and/or a middle lottery pick, they will become the Central Division version of the Hawks or Clippers.

Until the last two years, the Bucks have been mediocre - making the playoffs every other year without getting above .500.

Their lineup lacks proven talent. Trading talent for more potential will leave the Bucks like others who have traveled down that same road. The Bucks should acquire talent, not potential.

If Walsh wanted to play DAntonis system and win now rather than acquire cap room for 2010 would they be interested in?

Redd
CV
Simmons

Marbury-waived immediately-give job to Sessions(ends career with team that drafted him)
Lee
Balkman
Mardy Collins

Mo for Daequan Cook

Balkman/Ersan/Randolph or Gallinari
Yi/Lee/Ersan
Bogut/Gadzuric
Sessions/Bell/FA
Cook/Collins/2nd Rd or FA

acquire physical players who will defend for Skiles, enter Sessions and the team will be on the way to improving defensively

Simmons/Richardson/Jeffries/Chandler
Randolph/CV/M Rose
Curry/J James
Redd/Crawford/Richardson
Mayo or Bayless?/Robinson

I certainly wouldn't be dancing in the streets or bestowing a bunch of praise on Hammond though.
