Pre-Draft/Combine Thread: Update-Full Results Released
The pre-draft camp is going on in Orlando starting today and going through Friday. I don't know what day the measurements take place, but those are always very interesting. Maybe fam or Chuck have more information on what is taking place each day.

Looks like Lester Hudson may be a second round steal for someone.

I'm confused about this from the Pre-Draft Camp reports. Why does is say this:
Patrick Ewing had a quietly effective game with 14 points on 5-7 shooting, impressively hitting an NBA 3-pointer, getting on the offensive glass, and playing well in transition.
And have this physical report: Patrick Ewing

Is he like a lone old person playing in this camp or something? Or is this a prank?

Ewing is Ewing, Jr., Patrick Ewing Sr.'s son. I think they just have the profiles of older players on there for reference, but I've always found that odd about the site as well, just random profiles on the side.

Day 3 recap. Milwaukee's own Mike Taylor is having a nice overall showing so far (played at Iowa State I believe).
DaVon Hardin is a guy I'd like us to look at in the second.

Day 4 recap.
Day 4 recap.
Fatigue began to set in for many of the prospects and scouts in attendance here in day four, causing much of the attention to turn to the 15 physical-only players, who were here to participate in the combine and conduct light drills and skills-based workouts that drew quite a crowd of high-level NBA executives.
Darrell Arthur, Joe Alexander, O.J. Mayo, Derrick Rose, Donte Greene, Anthony Randolph, JaVale McGee, D.J. Augustin, Kevin Love, Russell Westbrook, Eric Gordon, and Brook Lopez, Jerryd Bayless, and DeAndre Jordan were the players the NBA types had an opportunity to drool over. This was an interesting setting, since the lottery candidates joined in on all six of the pre-draft camp teams here, giving us an unique comparison gauge to evaluate their physical tools and skill-sets alongside second round and mostly undrafted prospects. With a good number of NBA GMs on hand to take in the action, there were many interesting draft-related conversations going on at all times in the stands, some of which we got to take part in.
Opinions on how much we were able to learn from the workouts here were very mixed. Some were very happy to be able to see all these players in action in person and take a look at what type of shape they are in, while others called it

Hmm, wouldn't that mean he was 6-2 flat without shoes (shoes usually add 1.25-1.50 inches correct)? That seems a little on the short end.

6'3" with shoes is horrible for Westbrook, who's calling card is projecting to be a great perimeter defender. This is a much bigger deal than my concern over Eric Gordon's height, since defense isn't supposed to be one of his main attributes anyway.
Reminds me of Corey Brewer. A lot of us (including me) liked him because he brought defense which was what our team sorely needed. But Larry Harris didn't think that he had the body to be an NBA defender - and if you strip him of that, what does he have left? Seems Harris was right in that case. Is this case similar?

Wingspan and standing reach matter more than height for defense. How high you can get your hands in the air and how much space you can cover in passing lanes with wingspan matters a lot more for defense than how high your head rests off the floor. A 6-3 guy with a 6-7 wingspan is better than a 6-5 guy with a 6-5 wingspan.
Westbrooks' quickness paired with his supposed long arms (won't be surprised to see a 6-7 wingspan) are why he's being projected as a great defender, on top of the work ethic.
