They actually do have a conference, the Summit (formerly the Mid Contintent Conference). Last year was their first year in it, so they were not eligible for the conference tourney, this year they are so my brother will have one shot at a NCAA berth his senior year.
Oral Roberts is perennially the top team in it.
As far as schedule, they play I believe Michigan State and USC this year, and there might be others. Not sure on that.

I don't understand why they would have a waiting period once they're already in the conference. That just seems unfair to the kids. They were one of the better teams in the league from what I can see and defeated Oral Roberts. They could have won the championship.
USC should be susceptible being so youthful and having graduated key players. They will be inconsistent, but could make the tourney, so that would be a signature win. Tell Mike don't get star struck by Lil Romeo.
