How to see past the first page of a users post history

Post#1 » by NeedsMoreCheese » Sat May 31, 2008 9:34 am

So for awhile now the setup has been that when you click a posters profile and then post history, clicking on the 2nd (or higher) page would take you to a no posts can be found error.

I never bothered to try to get to the older posts that way since then. For some reason I decided while looking at it a few minutes ago, to try something. Its so easy that im sure it may have been mentioned somewhere by now, but in case anyone wanted to know, heres how

Go to posters profile
Click find all posts
Then to get to that second page, type this in at the end of the url (right after the posters name on there)

&start=12

You can put any number you want, thats how many posts ago you start at though (I used 12 because that was the default for how it was since it shows 12 posts per page)

so for example the url should look like this

http://www.realgm.com/boards/search.php?search_author=Bucks_Revenge&start=12

(And twirly when you read this, i used that particular example in case you ever get nostaligic for some sig material)

The problem lies in that the links beyond pg1 are still going with what was the old system names, where they used to use
search_id=(users id number here)
they now use
search_author=(users poster name here).

Just thought id post this in case its helpful to anyone.

ETA: I made the link font smaller to fix it from being shortened with dots in the middle like realgm does with links of a certain length.

I still have a lot to teach him. Stalking people is fine, telling people you're stalking them. Well that just doesn't seem smart at all.

When I try to stalk you and search your realgm post history it spits out the following error :cry:

Error: the following word appears 78191817 times "BOOBIES!"
