OT: The Open

Post#1 » by ReasonablySober » Mon Jun 16, 2008 7:15 pm

Anyone else here glued to their seat yesterday afternoon? I was really pulling for Rocco but seeing Tiger go up and down on 18 was pretty cool.

Amazingly, they're still tied through 14 today. I'm trying to watch as much as I can while I'm at work. There's a link to view it on ESPN.com.

They're going to sudden death! This is one of the most unreal things I've seen in sports. 90 holes and we still don't have a winner. I love it!

Tied through 18 today.

Time for sudden death.

Tiger has owned the 18th hole in this tournament. Big-time birdie to force sudden death.
Nothing will not break me.

I like Tiger but was definitely pulling for Rocco. Damn close.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

That was the best golf tournament to watch ever probably. OMG the drama was just crazy. With Tiger's knee and the perfect set up of the course and the fun lovable Rocco in contention with the greatest golfer ever. You couldn't scrip this thing any better. This reminds me of when jordan went off in that game when he had the flu. This was definitely an all time great performance by Tiger. Whats crazy is that we expected him to do that even though he should have been rusty and had no chance if he were a mere human like the rest of us. But no Tiger is almost super human and he has proven it again. I just wonder if he was taking cortisone shots in the knee the last couple days cause something had to be going on for him to all of a sudden not be going through the pain he was going through the first 3 days of the tournament.

Ho hum, another major for Eldrick.

I wasn't pulling for Rocco at all. Tiger is far and away my favorite player on tour. If it was any other player vs Rocco though, I would of been pulling for Rocco without a doubt. I've been a fan of Tiger since he's been tearing up the junior circuit. I want him not only to break all of Nicklaus' records, I want him to shatter them.

I don't mind Tiger now, but back in the day, I thought he was a complete tool.

I'd probably like him more if he had cornrows and tattoos though.
