Just for the sake of discussion, I by no means think any of them will be traded, but you never know

Joe Johnson
Amare Stoudemire

Amare is the name that came to mind for me.

I gotta say that Amare was my first instinct as well, but thinking about it, it just makes zero sense from the Suns perspective.

With Amare, you win now, AND you win later, I don't see it.

Duncan strikes me as the type of guy that's gonna retire a Spur, similar to Reggie Miller in Indy.
I don't think it has to be that shocking or it has to be a top "star" player. I figure it's probably Wade or even the whole Baron Davis/Billups/Wallace rumor, with the info being told to Walsh and then his reaction being reported on too late by a desperate media person.

The Spurs better let Duncan retire a Spur. He's the best thing that ever happened to them, and they would be selling out cheaply if they did that. They're going to want his jersey hanging there and maybe a statue out front - see if you can get him to coach all the big men they draft over the next 20 years. Don't just trade him for some rookie.

The Spurs trading Duncan would be like Favre getting traded. Wouldn't happen.

I say it is Dwayne Wade. Riley seems to be calling everyone on everything right now.

My guess is going to be Dirk, although Duncan being available would be the most shocking by far. I agree with others who state that Duncan will retire a Spur.

Dirk rhymes with Kirk, wishful thinking that the rumor was botched and that the real deal is Redd, CV, & 8 for Dirk?

Maybe it's Redd and Walsh is trying to psyche up the New York fan base----"hey, an Olymbian is getting traded!"

Dare we dream for a Redd trade tomorrow?

After thinking about it, I remember hearing that Popovich and Duncan plan on retiring at the same time. So that suggests there's no chance of Duncan being traded. And there's no way Duncan would bring back comparable value from a competing team that wants him unless they traded him for Bynum.

The Bulls board has a thread about a Wade to the Bulls rumor.

I saw Samuel Dalembert at Burlington coat factory today.

Take that for what its worth.

Alright maybe it was just a guy that looked Dalembert. But this guy coulda passed for Dalembert's twin brother and he was pretty tall.

I'll guess Carlos Boozer would be a shocking trade right now.
