The implication is that Damon will be traded as an expiring contract. So the trick is to find a team willing to give up some talent in return for cap flexibility next summer.

Jones became a side show in Miami and Cleveland. He was one of the bigger mistakes that Ferry made as the Cav's GM - although in fairness, Ferry did not have great free agent alternatives when he signed Jones.

Jones looks to be the prototypical NBA player who has some talent but just doesn't understand the game. With him it always seemed to be about the boast and the trash talk, with little concern for the team. Maybe even to the detriment of the team.

[GAD]He can be traded before Oct. 13th as long as the trade doesn't require his salary to be aggregated with other players' salaries to make the deal work.[/GAD]

There are teams that need some added scoring from the PG/SG position. Wonder which teams would be interested in Damon? I originally thought Miami but they have LIvingston... although some say he still isn't ready to contribute. Maybe Memphis? Since they lost out on Livingston. Or how about Orlando? They technically have Jameer Nelson & Anthony Johnson. They signed Mike Wilks but I would guess that they would like more size and consistent scoring if either Nelson or Johnson go down in an injury.

Not much on Memphis' roster we would want but perhaps a 2nd rounder. Maybe the Bucks might be interested in Brian Cook (as a backup only I would guess) or Keith Bogans (if they are interested in moving him)?
