2 TI: Bucks/Nets, Bucks/Port/Wash/Atlanta
So who around the league do you think has that kind of potential, but just hasnt arrived or been given the opportunity as of yet. A young player that given a change of scenery would transform to a potential all-star/superstar. i.e. Jermaine Oneal, Gerald Wallace(*) or Tracy McGrady.
I look around the league and my vote is Martell Webster. He is the same age as Alexander and has 3 years under his belt already. He has one of the sweetest jumpers in the league, and has much more athletism than Redd to play the 2.
Marvin Williams is another that I expect to be a Antwan Jamison type once he get his feet under him.
Andray Blatche and Anthony Randolph are the big men with Bosh type potential and Sean Williams could be the next been Ben Wallace.

i like how you lured people into a discussion about potential and then ambushed them with a trade idea

That'll tend to happen when you bring 7 (read: SEVEN) new players to the team, presumably in the middle of the season/preseason, especially.

Well I would consider this at the deadline as well. Off course it will never happen in a million years but whatever. Its not that bad IMO from a bucks perspective. Plus until Redd changes my mind about him which I doubt he will be able to do, I will continue to be a hater of his game since he is beyond selfish.

Pretty awful deal for Atlanta in deal one. Also, if I'm making that sort of deadline deal, I'm not giving a first for Williams and CDR.

I defintely don't see us bailing on RJ so early, and I also think a trade this big would probably only happen during the offseason. However, I agree with your deduction that Martell Webster would be a real solid guy for us to target. He seems poised for a breakout year, but the Blazers have so many young players that he could be lost in the shuffle somewhat there.
Blazer fans say they are going for a major free agnet singing in the next few offseasons, but i'm far from convinced. I'm hoping they are a team that targets Redd, as his shooting would be a real good compliment to players like Roy, Aldridge, and Oden. Plus, with their defensive monster tandem up front they could definitely handle his poor defense and even play him big minutes as an undersized three.

We are giving up our next first rounder after you turn the Bucks into a 20 win team?

Am I missing something? Is that team better than our current team?

Well I think Sean Williams is better than a player we would get in the 10-15 range. i made the pick top 8 protected.

you're kind of missing the point of the trade.
for peoplpe who believe that the current team's peak isn't high enough to become a contender and the roster doesn't leave much opporutinity to improve, this is rolling the dice and hoping that over the next few years these younger players improve and become a better team.
it's just like gambling, risk what you have now for a shot at more

It's simple. When a thread title doesn't describe what's in the thread I (or PP25) change the title to be accurate. That way our members can read threads that interest them and skip those that do not. It's interesting that you found the need to not only comment on it but also quote yourself commenting on it.
