Trade Idea with Pistons

Post#1 » by Frank Nova » Mon Feb 2, 2009 7:24 am

Bucks trade:
Richard Jefferson
Dan Gadzuric

Detroit trade:
Allen Iverson

Bucks get legit all star in Iverson who replaces Redd as a complete upgrade over anyone on our roster. Leaves a hole at the small forward position the Luc and JA fill perfectly where they get tons of playing time and experience. We have all seen that Luc is a legit player in this league when given the opportunity and JA has shown flashes as well. This trade dumps Gadz so we never have to see him in a Bucks uniform again and Iverson fits better here with CV, Luke and Ramons style of play.

RJ would fit perfectly in Detroit where he is more the type of player they need in that system compared to Iverson. RJ can play the 2, 3 and even 4 at times and is much less selfish than Iverson.

Back to why its good for us. This trade puts us in better contention going forward this season and we dump off Gadz. The trade works in the trade checker and I think its a no brainer if its available. A player like Iverson alone will fill the Bradley Center with a house hold name in a Bucks uniform that everyone loves to watch.

Luke/Ramon/Lue
Iverson/Ramon/Bell
Mbah A Moute/Alexander
CV/Allen
Bogut/Elson

Theres still not much depth at all but this trade allows us to bring Ramon back off the bench where he is extremely vital at that position. Not saying I dont think Ramon is not good enough to start because he is deserving to be a starter but we need anyone we can get to come off the bench and provide good play.

Whats everyone thoughts on bringing Iverson to Milwaukee for RJ and Gadzuric??

The reason the Pistons traded Billups for Iverson is cap space. They're not going to turn around a few months later and trade Iverson for two bad contracts of much worse players.

What trwi said. This trade proposal wouldn't even make it to the receptionist level at Pistons HQ.

Iverson and Jeffersons season averages this year are almost identical, I dont see how that trade is completely in Milwaukees favor and Detroit is getting screwed for "2 much worse players"?

You're basing the trade on average points per game this season? ...gotta love this board. And do you understand how ugly Gadz's contract is? It makes zero sense for the Pistons.

We already have a thread concerning an AI trade and the bottom line is that the Pistons are looking for cap space at the end of this season and this move goes against that thinking.

No offense, but if you don't understand why this isn't a feasible trade then you shouldn't be making up trade idea threads. Take some time to read other trade threads and then maybe after your understanding of good and bad contracts becomes better then you can come up with your own.
