Crawford's deal was a bit too much, but Hammer's deal is being---for the most part---universally praised. I like the Hammer deal. The Craw and Hammer deals could be an indicator that the cap is going up in the coming years, which is good news for the Hawks.

Indeed. With so many stars and quality role players on our roster, the cap going up, and therefore giving us more room to keep them all, can only be a good thing for us.

I noticed that as well. Pretty safe to say that we won that deal, even with the talk that we might move Leddy for cap space. I'd like to see him stay though. He's a really talented kid and will only get better. If he can learn to keep his head in the game and maintain his intensity then he could be really good.

Just read that we've got Dan Carcillo back into camp as a tryout. What do you guys think of that move?

You don't think Richards deserves more than a handful of games to fit in?
