Plenty of shots doesn't mean much when they're bad shots.

I know it's only 5 games in, but holy **** do the Hawks look bad. Sluggish and no sense of urgency. They fall down 2 goals and quit.

Obviously you want to take good shots. I was more making the point that we're getting the puck off enough, and that (hopefully) one or two will find the net.

I agree that we're looking bad though. The amount of times in this game alone where I saw our players screwing around with fancy little passes to each other in our defensive zone made me want to scream. Like we're doing these dinky little passes like its a pickup game and we turn the puck over doing that. Just clear the damn puck out of the zone as quickly and straightforward as possible.

The dinky/cute passes drive me nuts. That's what the bad Hawks teams of the early 2000's did. I love Patrick Kane especially is being a good teammate and tries to set up guys. He's one of the 10 best offensive players in the NHL: Shoot the damn puck

Completely agree with you there. For me though, it's not just Kane - Panarin looks to do the same thing. It's like the two of them want to put on a skills show and set each other up. I find myself yelling at the tv "just shoot the damn puck!"
