Who did he shut down?
No way Darko can bust, or Beasley, or Williams, or Oden, or Bargs, or Kandiman, etc...

Good. Chicago has a better deal :)
My gut tells me Wiggins may be Wes Johnson 2.0

My gut tells me the Chicago deal would make us a perennial 9th-11th seed for 5 years.

We already are! :)

Listening to Dan B. yesterday and he was pretty adamant on the Wolves not trading Martin...for now.

Flip isn't trying to 'dump' him and he still has value.

Martin could be dealt soon. It's just a matter of how long it takes for Lavine to develop.

And again he was adamant in saying this. He is pretty cool with Flip so I will give him benefit of the doubt.

Flip was on Barreiro today and said (basically) that strategically he can't answer all questions regarding moves/trades but he said "sources" claiming they're trying to move either Martin or Dieng are wrong.

Martin has more value in the NBA than he does on these boards. He is a good shooter, gets to the line, and is fairly intelligent. If he played D he'd be making twice as much cash, making $21 million over the next three season is fine for his level of production. That will be MLE level in a few years.

Also, the Bulls are interested in him, they need some scoring on the wing, he'd work well with Rose and Pau. Martin could be part of a deal for Taj, or Flip may want a mentor for Lavine and Wiggens. Martin is slight and has been quite effective in the NBA with his build, 6'6 - 185 when he was drafted.

I'm feeling pretty vindictive.

Let Love waste another season here with a city that's over him, let him opt out, and then have to sign a non-super max one year before the new TV deal, thus costing himself even more money.

I think Martin's best role is as a sixth man instant offense type. Watch his matchups and minutes and he'd be very effective.

Yep, he eats up backup SG's.

I'd love for Flip to go ahead and start LaVine at the 2 and let Martin come off the bench as instant offense.

Would love that as well, but unfortunately I get the feeling he'll come off the bench. We'll see.

My concern has always been that this could be a disaster if, for any reason, Love doesn't exercise his PO. I'd make it a condition of the trade. With all due respect to SAS and Broussard, a second-hand, or even third-hand report, about a player's future intentions isn't enough of an assurance to part with Wiggins in the absence of that option actually getting picked up.

I believe Love would exercise his player option as part of this trade. Like I, uh...meant to say, the new TV deal gives him a lot more money (where the hell did lockout come from? I meant TV deal).

Cavs fans on their board are : Minnesota fans are greedy, and stupid and bla bla bla.

What they really want after all ?

They want to keep Wiggins and not trade for Love ? Ok i get it if that is the reason !!!

OR

They want Love and keep Wiggins as well ? (Because Waiters and Benett + Protected are enough - they think) That is STUPID.

I dont mind to let Love go to Cleveland without Wiggins if they had young players with some potencial and good picks, (they dont have both) How the hell that is so dificult to understand ? No team in world is gonna give you a superstar in the final year of the contract for Waiters and Benett + some worthless picks. Forget it, rather keep Love 1 and start over again, PERIOD.

We can talk all day about how dumb some of their fans are. Let's not waste time with that.

I already know most of them are trolls since a lot of them joined in July.

Cavs giving Wiggins for Love is Wolves fans being Greedy. Wolves giving Love for Bennett and Waiters is fair because you are going to lose him anyway and need to deal him! To us! For a Super Team!

If you guys keep it up, I'm going to start warning some Wolves fans for their behavior in this thread, too. You aren't doing yourselves any favors.

Well when we've heard for 92 pages that are team sucks, franchise is in a no-win situation, take our crap and be happy with it, you'll be lucky to win 20 games next year, etc.

It gets old, especially on a TWolves board.

No offense

Let the mods take care of it. Retaliating back doesn't make things any better.

After listening to the Barreiro & Saunders Podcast for today's show its quite clear Flip Saunders was calling out Sam Amico and this false information Amico gave out on July 22.

Sam Amico @SamAmicoFSO · Jul 22

TWolves G Kevin Martin and C/F Gorgui Dieng are other names that have come up in talks with Cavs about Kevin Love, sources say.

Saunders seemed pretty steamed that Martin and Dieng names were falsely offered up in any future Cavs/Wolves trade when it comes to the Wiggins/Love scenario.

I think it would be wise for us to ignore Amico's tweets/information in the next 28 days.

I could see Martin being brought up if there was a 3rd team involved.

Dieng makes zero sense on any level.
