Thinking of dropping cable. Currently paying over 100/mo for cable/Internet. Internet alone is only 40/mo. Trying to figure out all the main subscription sites I would want if I dropped, to see if it would be wise financially.

Right now, the subscriptions I've included in my list are Netflix, Hulu Plus, and full season subscriptions for NBA League Pass (I forget, are archives blacked out too?) and NFL.com Game Rewind. I still come out 35/mo ahead.

Am I missing anything?!

I'm with you. I'm a senior living in college apartments so cable is included but once I get a place of my own I'm keeping my subscription to Hulu plus then just getting subscriptions to watch the NBA & NFL online.

I'm jealous that you can get internet for $40 a month - my standalone comcast internet is like $60 or $70, I forget which, but it's ludicrous. I feel obligated to watch as much online basketball, porn, and movies as possible to get my money's worth because I hate Comcast so much. There was a solid outcry against cable company monopolies in the 90s, then it just fell to the wayside.

Evidently it's illegal to go into Wisconsin with a chicken on your head, too.

It's also illegal to sleep naked in Minnesota.

Nope. I've got someone coming by tomorrow with a grader to push the snow back. Right now I have a tunnel for a driveway. Another windy day and I'll be housebound again.

That doesn't look too bad, IMO.

I think we had slightly more over here until it began raining the other day. I'm surprised I haven't slipped on the ice, though.

Yeah, it's a bit deceiving. The side piles were equal to my side mirrors on my car and it was just wide enough to drive through. The major problems were that it is very open and we get a fair amount of wind so it just fills in with drifts and those side berms were fairly hard and compacted so it took that grader to move them (and he had to work at it).

Haha, no but it is more than it looks in those photos. How do they cut those straight walls that high, btw? that's crazy.
